Big props to the guy that said Secret of Mana, how I loved that game!

For me though, Freespace 2, you haven't lived until you've faced capital ship beam cannons... (GOG.com has a cheap XP/Vista stable version, go play it)

Hard to say because I love so many games for different reasons. I'd probably go with Xenogears or Okami though. Xenogears has the most epic story out of any video game I have played, but Okami is so imaginative and innovative that is hard to forget.
finally i game i played the one of you guys played aswell!lol
yes okami is a very good game but i suck at painting im terrible at controllin the wiimote in the game :(

Aww man, this idea's so original. You never see "what's your favorite _______?" anymore . . .Nostalgia man . . .

Douchebag sarcasm aside, I have trouble not liking Kingdom Hearts. All of them. They're all games that I refuse to sell, i just love 'em. This is an off the top of my head response, but if I thought about it for awhile, I might still come up with this.
Yes i know this idea isnt very original but i was bored and as for king dom hearts......uh!Every where i go someone is talking about about this game i really have to get around to buying, what consoles can i get it on?

i may have only enjoyed it so much because of the references to OoT, like during the howling, one of the songs is Requiem of Spirit and the Serenade of Water plays during the bit with the Zora Queen ect. had they not been they, maybe it wouldn't have been so good. but TP has the spinner; spinning up walls and jumping from side to side is so much fun. but then OoT is just an amazing game...nope, it's too hard, i can't choose.

Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, Star Fox: Assault (Yes, I liked the on-foot missions, sue me). Judging on how much I'm looking forward to getting it, FF XI might show up on the list in the future.

Grim Fandango, incredible style and script! Either that or freespace 2, nothing ever made me connect with that childish desire to be a space fighter pilot quite like it... swarms of missiles, pinging lock on sounds, giant lasers... I think I need to change my underwear :)

I think one of the first immersive and downright obsessive games I ever played was Pokemon Blue/Red, everyone I knew owned this game and because you could play it in school it meant that Primary School was spent not learning anything.

As for favorite game of the modern day, It's a tie between Gta:San Andreas or Half Life 2
