The fact that none of you have mentioned the brilliant Adventures of Dr. McNinja makes ashamed to be on this forum.

i read a lot of webcomics, and i'll only show the ones others would probably like.

Lackadaisy, sequential art, twokinds, original life(but if you have strong moral values stay away from it's precursor "better days"), bittersweet candy bawl, spinnerette, dreamkeepers prelude, Scandinavia and the world, exterminates now(a little slow at the start but gets really good a few arcs in), catena comics(ok for a look but it isn't my favorite) and romantically apocalyptic

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. You could say it's smart humour, although most of the jokes are about dicks, penises, and general genitalia

Cyanide & happiness. Cruel, merciless humor. For the /b/tard inside of you. The best thing is it updates daily

Those are my fav, but I do follow some of the previously mentioned like rooster teeth, penny arcade, awkward zombie, etc...

Those are the humor like webcomics, but I highly recommend you guys to read more story-driven comics like

blank-it
zombie hunters
Doctor McNinja (this one is epic, don't miss it)
it's a ninja that happens to be a doctor riding a velociraptor while holding a katana... what else needs to be said

So happy someone mentioned Axecop, and more happy that I get to spread one of my favourites, Amazing Super Powers.

http://www.amazingsuperpowers.com/2008/03/i-overslept/

Brillantly, horrible humour.
Also used to like XKCD, seems to have gone downhill, cant put my finger on it, but yeh, not the same

Looking at my sidebar: Sam and Fuzzy, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, Hark! A Vagrant, xkcd, Octopus Pie, Bad Machinery, The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage. And some others, but who cares about those.

Not on my sidebar for no good reason, but held in high regard (by me): Penny Arcade, Dinosaur Comics.

Oh yeah, and Platinum Grit. Infrequently updated because it's, like, a proper comic and stuff, and now on indefinite hiatus (I think), but worth looking at. And Spamusement. That's been dead for so long the forum is now hosted by its members rather than having anything directly to do with the site itself any more. But it's very funny.

Sinfest is amazing - it's been updating daily for more than 11 years, and it's still excellent.

Nerd³! The minecraft adventure webcomic. Slight bias as I write it but whatever. :p
http://nerdcubed.co.uk/

Apart from that there is the obscure yet wonderful Blank it,
http://blankitcomics.com/

The hilarious Akward Zombie
http://www.awkwardzombie.com/

And probably my favourite... Doghouse diaries.

Awkward Zombie is also awesome
