Frog Capital of the World.

Fascinating, I know. Also, it used to be called "Poopeyville" until they found out how hilarious that was to tourists.

If we're talking actual "town" than it's famous for being the place where Linkin Park and Incubus formed.

The whole city is famous for crack....lots and lots of crack.

I live in LA, famous for douche bags, famous douche bags, and alleged gangs (I've yet to see one gang member).
Are you joking about the gangs? Are there just areas you don't go to?

Salt. We have a salt museum and everything. The "wich" in Northwich even means salt. And I can say for sure that our roads are never icy in winter.

My little town of Hanford, California is very unimportant and unnoticed, but it is the current residence of the mother of Steve Perry from Journey (who was born 15 minutes away in a smaller town). He is sometimes seen around, as he makes visits to her, and it is advised not to go up to him as he doesn't like the attention. We also apparently have the third best Sizzler in the United States. Supporting this is the fact that most people I know from other towns hate Sizzler, and everyone I know here considers it a very good dining option. Oh, and our terrible "Hanford water". It reeks of sulfur and arsenic contamination.

Making hats, apparently, although nowadays Atherstone is simply "a historic market town".

Yeah, my town kinda sucks, but never mind.

Good ol' Winston Churchill, Elton John, and Ronnie Barker among many other people.

We seem to breed celebs in Harrow.

Also, Dev Patel lived opposite me prior to Slumdog.

The two towns nearest to my home village in the arse end of nowhere: Rotherham is famous for The Chuckle Brothers (I think that wins me the thread), and Worksop is famous as the birthplace of Bruce Dickinson.
