Charlotte, NC: It's the second (maybe first by now) largest banking center in the US.

Being in Europes hall of shame...

The town which I live in has the highest proportion of underage teenage pregnacies in proportion to the teenage population of the town compared to anywhere else in Uk and possibly Europe (allegedly any way).

While I'm sure someone's already said it, I live in Adelaide. I don't think anything remotely famous went down here, apart from the mass amount of inside references (Frog cakes, fritz, stoby poles, the mall's balls, e.t.c).

My hometown, Indio, is famous for...well, the Date Festival, for one thing, and the other is that George Patton used our town as a way to drill soldiers for the African campaign during WWII (which according to my history teacher should be referred to as WWIX)

I don't know if this is true or not, but my hometown used to be known for the highest amount of meth labs back in the 90's.

The Hague.
We are have the International Criminal Court, International Court of Justice. Anouk and the Golden Earring both started here (kinda famous musicians outside of the country, but not as much as most Dutch people to believe.).
We also have all the politicians of the country and the queen here, despite not being the capital.

Trust me, it's a boring city.

My hometown, Portland, is famous for its stone, which was used to build the Palace of Westminster in 1347.
