Single player - something I think is a problem with all CoD games. Constantly respawning enemies! The frustration of being on Veteran, and sometimes even Hardcore, and being unable to proceed after you've cleared out an area because a couple more guys will spawn from different areas making it next to impossible to kill them both and reach the next checkpoint. It's why I can't play these games on Veteran to the end: it's just too fucking frustrating! The game should be made more difficult by having better AI rather than a constant stream of enemies making it virtually impossible to advance. GAH. I know beating them on Veteran is easy for some, but I just don't have the patience. (Sorry, I just really needed to vent this, and that was the purpose of the thread, right?)
Have you tried MW2 on Veteran? Piss easy compared to all the other CODs (COD2 took me two years to complete on Veteran because it annoyed me so much that I stopped playing; I never managed to do One Shot One Kill on COD4 on Veteran - bloody fairground; and I had to have a mate do Mile High Club for me).

The enemies don't respawn infinitely - and if they ever do, it's because you're not meant to kill them all (case in point: end of Loose Ends where you just have to run like hell). I thought that Takedown would be a ***** of a mission on Veteran, but the only reason I got stuck towards the end is because I ran out of ammo and there were no long range weapons to steal). There were a few unlikely enemy appearences on the rooftops, but it's not as if they just keep coming - shoot them all and you can get past easy enough.

It is a lot fairer than every other COD game I've played. If I can complete it on Veteran in an hour longer than it took on normal then it's not unfair anymore.

Anyway, my pet peeves:
Horrible sequel set-up of the ending - my only gripe against the single-player, btw;
MP Balance issues:
Dual Shotguns - though extremely satisfying when you kill the wielder;
A game of Domination on Wasteland which my team were winning - only for someone on the other team to set a nuke. I get that the nuke wins the game automatically in a DM-style match, but to lose to a nuke when we had been winning really pissed me off. I think that needs fixing - it just seems unfair in an objective game. You could camp a position, rack up 25 kills (because everyone else will be chasing the targets) and whether you're ahead or not you can win the game.

Endless CoD6 topics.
It's the biggest game of the decade, people are obviously going to want to talk about it.

Stop being an Ebenezer and let people converse how they wish.
Sorry, looks like I mistook this for a "Pet Peeves" thread.
You're right...

My pet peeve?

People who complain about too many MW2 threads, while posting on them therefore extending thier lifespan.
It's the biggest game of the decade, people are obviously going to want to talk about it however they wish.

Stop being an Ebenezer and let people converse (or moan) how they wish.
I will, and I shall leave you to continue making the threads you hate even longer.

Dedicated servers are servers that people run and host themselves.

It is a service exclusive to PC gamers, which was removed by IW for MW2.

Dedicated servers basically mean that you can pick which matches to join, and with whom, which means you don't get the ridiculous COD host advantage problems, and a lot more choice of when, where and how you want to play.

I'm a 360 gamer so my description may not be the most eloquent, but the reason PC gamers are pissed about this is because now they don't have any of these options and have to use the same laggy, random map, random matchmaking system we do on consoles.

It's not a fucking exploitation of flawed perks and unbalanced gameplay. People that run around knifing never do that great. It's really only a TDM or FFA class anyway, anything else has a ton of campers and many explosions ensue. You're seriously bad at the game if you can't beat a tactical knifer.
Whatever. It's still an exploit. And he tells that it's not. No matter if it's big or small, people who exploit imbalance and tell that "it's fair" are douchebags.
Ok by your logic, a sniper class with cold-blooded and ninja is an exploit because I can't see them on UAV or heartbeat sensors! Or, tubers with danger close and scavenger just non-stop tubing is such an exploit because they never run out of tubes!

Seriously, learn to play the game. Tactical knife is a part of this game, get used to it. Once again, if anyone says it's an imbalance or an exploit only thinks that because they can't seem to find a way to kill a guy that just melee's.

For the record, I don't have a pistol with the tactical knife attachment. So no, I don't use that strategy when playing. And you know what? I still rape tactical knifers.

Learn. To. Play.

The amount of players that get the nuke is so low that it's a non-issue. So you lose a game or two once in a blue moon, big deal?

Weapon sounds, they sound...metallic and weak. Just compare this:
with this:
Now I don't want to join the BC2 fanboys, but the weapons in BC2 sound like they have a lot more impact, more oomph behind them. I kind of miss that in MW2.

Also, dual shotguns in multiplayer. Gods dual wielding Rangers pisses me off, it's so satisfying though to know that they're coming (long live the heartbeat sensor) and plant a claymore right behind the corner where they'll pop up. KaBOOM! So so very good.

I don't play multiplayer at all, but there are problems with campaign. I got all those intel pieces and no cheats? Just a shitty trophy. Slo-Mo in the first game instantly made every level repayable.

I hate the Full Metal Jacket bullets. I was playing my friend in split-screen, and shooting me from inside a cargo container is just annoying.

I hate the unbalanced matchups. I just got the game, don't put me in a game with a bunch of level 60 people, it's not very fun being killed every fifteen seconds. Give an option for rooms based on skill level, that's all I want, just to be able to enjoy the game.

The online... and I'm meaning the console version in my case.

I get a party of people, find a match, and then once the match starts we either get a lot of lag (and we all have good connections by the way, don't have this problem on any other game) and this leads to host change, which sometimes means the end of the game, or for some reason we get members of our party booted from the game for no reason.

Am I the only one who HATES the slow-mo breaching scenes?
Also, the SP had a LOT of BS parts. Not one point in the SP was I actually enjoying myself (OK, the part where I was blasting Reds with the heli-mounted gatling gun was kinda fun, but that is about it). The whole campaign was terrible and filled to the brim with frustration. I spent 80% of the time in campaign waiting for the blood to fall off my face.
I also HATE the grenade indicator. Before you could judge how far away it is via the opacity of the indicator. Now it exactly the same no matter how far. I can't count how many times I thought I was close enough to chuck a grenade back only to find out I was on the outer brim of the range and had just enough time to walk myself into the killzone.

5.oh yeah, and the shotguns can kill you from about 3000 yards and are one hit kills

*edit: 6. the Javelin missile and grenade launchers
While I agree that akimbo shotguns are just dumb, some of your other complaints are a bit off the mark.

I don't really see whats wrong with the spawn mechanics, in team modes, you spawn where the greatest number of your teammates are, and in free for all, I'm not rally sure how it determines where u spawn, but thats never seemed like a big deal to me.

Not everyone camps, and very few people camp the whole game, and even if they do, camping can be easily solved with a semtex, or well cooked frag grenade.

the only map I've heard you can glitch into is on quarry, but you don't become invincible, as explosives can still kill people hiding in walls.

Ya, the hit detection is a bit laggy, but i got used to that in cod 4.

Tactical knifers, on the other hand? Really not that hard to deal with. But goddamn those akimbo 1887 users.
very true. I've never had a problem with the knife only classes. Not only have I only seen like 10 since i bought the game, a quick shotgun blast to the face tends to stop them in their tracks.

Since I don't play the multiplayer I'm going to have to go with the constant near death scenes where your character is stabbed or shot or knocked over and lies around groaning for awhile as a cutscene before someone saves him or whatever. I thought he was meant to be SAS, shouldn't he be a bit harder than that? :p

Or I could say that the whole SAS becoming Unit 141 or whatever, was because Americans can't relate to the British SAS so you became some random American special force group made up of primarily of 4-5 SAS characters that are all British. That got on my tits real quick.
