half life 2 episode 2. you know what im talking about :(
yeah, i started balling. D:
Yeah I was really bummed out too when they brought her back.

On a serious note, the only game that ever really got me emotionally was Silent Hill 2, the big reveal near the end where James faces up to the truth, that he killed his own wife because he was a selfish psycho. That was fucked up, I just stared at the game for a minute before I could do anything.

When Teta dies in Final Fantasy Tactics. The first time I played it I flipped out. I came here to save her, then that bastard Algus kills her.

Also when you have to fight and kill Zalbag, Ramza's decent brother.

The very end of Final Fantasy X still makes me cry. Though... the first time my sister and her friend were watching it and I started just crying (playing around) histarically and kinda ruined the moment for them. It was funny.
The only time I have ever cried in a game was then when he was fading away, and in the speech - I was pretty young, but it still makes me really sad. It was on my brother's playstation, in front of some of his friends... the embarrassment!

When my father died in Fallout 3, and the ending of Fallout 3. Both were so epic and sad.
The whole war never changes still sends chills down me spine X3

Call Of Duty 2: Big Red One when Brooklyn dies...
Oh my god yes!

When he died I was just sitting there for 5 minutes with my mouth open. I even reloaded the level to try and save him.

*The only thing Treyarch ever did right was make me love Brooklyn*

The correct answer is the death of Floyd [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planetfall]. Maybe only one person out of a hundred has any idea what I'm talking about, but that person knows I'm right.

I don't know about ever, but I just finished God of War II and I hated the "to be continued" ending. Nothing makes me angrier when it comes to an otherwise decent video game.

Companion cube. Definitely.
I got so immersed into the atmosphere of that game. I really thought that someone, maybe that mystic voice, was going to do something to hurt me. But that cube was the only thing that didn't look like it would hurt me. That's why I felt devestated when...
Th-That's it!

I finally understand why people are so attached to the CompanionCube now! Thank you!

Through the test chambers, everything either looks unsociable or downright dangerous. You could probably engage in a pleasant and heartfelt conversation with the android turrets, but you know they want your blood on the walls. Everything looks cold and bleak.

But the CompanionCube - a friendly entity... It's been here before. It knows what's in store for you. It wants to help you, keep you safe. It protects you. It saves your skin. It takes bullets for you. It's reliable. It's there to help you. You're all alone in the test chambers, but the Cube is always there for you. You know it only wants to help you. It has only YOU in mind, selflessly serving you and facilitating your success. You both know that, without it, you're NOTHING. You respect that, and the Cube doesn't gloat about it. It just sits there, willing and ready for you to give it something to do, something you both know can only be done by the Cube itself.

...And then you show your appreciation by incinerating it.

Definitely if you ever get "Game Over" playing Yoshi's Story. You can only watch in horror as the last of the Yoshi(s) are dragged off to the dark and forboding tower. You can only imagine the terrors that the poor, adorable, harmless dinosaur-creatures will soon suffer.

End of CoD4 sucked...

Also I had mixed feelings about the whole dog thing in Fable II. My friend had spoiled the end about how I got 3 possible wishes so it wasn't that bad.

As others have mentioned, When Lucien killed my beloved Fairfax, I named the dog after the castle, as a reminder of my ambition to make it my own one day as well as a reminder of where I came from and the hardships I went through, I tried to make the character into me, and i managed it to some affect, so when I was informed that he needlessly gunned down my family and then shot my dog in front of me... Well I wasn't gonna stand for it. I shot him in the dick.

Then of course again, like someone else mentioned, The endings of both MGS3 and MGS4.

3 - When he salutes the tombstone and that single, pained tear rolls down his cheek and you can see the hurt in his eyes, amazing detail for a PS2 game.

4 - For when Otacon talks about how Snake deserves his rest, fucking heart-wrenching.

Another one that really tugged at my heart strings and overall really surprised me was the "death" of Agro, the horse from SotC.

throughout the entire game I couldn't stand how grossly imcompetent it was, It never followed orders half the time, It was constantly a hassle to get onto him in a hurry but when he fell off that collapsing bridge... I wanted me some revenge, Sure it wasn't necessarily the 16th collossus' fault but he was closest at that time, so when I found him I ran at him actually screaming "FOR AGRO!" and then I was flung off the mountain/tower thing because I didn't realise it'd have HAND LASERS.

The ending of MGS 3 always really got me. The music, and the narration...oh man...

The ending of Link's Awakening was always sort of depressing.
All the people Link's just met...they all just disappear.

A few parts have worked tears on me. Eli Vance dieing, complete with Alyx crying as the credits roll and Dom finding out Maria is brain-dead causes a river for me.
