I've had glasses now for 18years. First got them when i was 7, for a few years my eye sight got worse each year so i needed to get a complete change in prescription. They have stabilized since then and my prescription has stayed the same for the past 7years.

When I was three years old. They're better now, so I stopped wearing them. No one could remember seeing me without them.

I got my glasses when I was 17 I think. I was like what the fuck?! I can see!

I needed them for years before that and was just too dumb to realize it.

About two years ago I think. It's an odd feeling, I hate that I have to wear glasses but I love my glasses.

I got mine in February of this year. I don't need them often; just when I drive for extended periods of time or in class. I think they look rather good on me, though.

I've worn glasses since the 4th grade, which means I've been wearing glasses for about 13 or 14 years.

I got my eight years ago when I was in second grade. Then about a year ago I tried contacts and hated them. They made my eyes itch. But I do like glasses, when I had contacts people that had always seen me with glasses freaked out and said I looked like a skeleton.

I'm blind without them. I can't read anything thats even arm length away from me.

I could still pass the school eye exams with flying colors and had apparently been in need of glasses since like 3rd grade but finally failed an eye exam at a physical in 7th grade. Yeah my eyes went to shit slowly like you but didnt know they were going to shit i just thought it was normal and adjusted.

I only just got glasses this year when I noticed that my eyesight wasn't as good as it used to be. (I mourn the loss of my 20/20 eyesight. I'm only 22 years old!)

Thankfully I don't need to wear them all the time, but there will probably be some point in my life where I will need to wear them almost constantly.

Yeah that was a bit of a shock to me to know what I was seeing, or lack of seeing, wasn't normal. I never got so excited about seeing leaves on trees from a distance in my life...

I'm thinking I should get my eyes checked. My visions isn't exactly blurry, but I'm getting this feeling that I can't see as well as before?

I got glasses when I was 15-16, used them only for reading/gaming/watching TV. Started to use them more permanently when I was 17 though. I was thinking of going with contacts back for a while, but someone in my class who wore contacts got one of them stuck on the backside of her eyeball, so I decided "f*ck that, I'm not gonna have that happen to me".

My friends thought I looked wierd in the beginning with the glasses, but then I started getting compliments that they make me look more intelligent and refined so I kept using them. Now, if I take off my glasses my friends think I look like a mass murdering psychopath or something to that effect. Seriously, if me and one of my close friends start fighting about something or who is right I can just take off my glasses and stare at her and she immidiately concedes... If that's a bad or good thing I'll let you decide.

Well, the good news is that once I reach 60-80 years of age and the eyesight would normally falter for a human with normal eyesight, I'll actually get better eyesight. (Old age makes you longsighted, and I'm nearsighted).

My eyes aren't that bad though, just a minus 1.5 and a minus 1.75. I'm required by law to wear glasses while driving though. Not really a problem, since as I said earlier in this post, I do wear glasses normally.

Well, I had had glasses in the second grade, but I never wore them because I thought they were stupid. I'm actually kinda glad I didn't wear them since a few years ago I learned that there was a problem in the muscles of my left eye, and lenses wouldn't have helped.
