On topic, though she's showing some wear, I plan on holding onto her until she dies then upgrading to an Elite, i love my Xbox and despite having a PS3 and a above average laptop for gaming, I'm still in love with her. It's like being a Mormon, and having a favorite wife.

I gave up Microsoft and its 360 when for the second time it got the red ring of death i mean after the first time i sent to Microsoft to repair got it back about two months later and then in about 6 months later i got the red ring of death again. So for now the 360 can burn in the fiery pits of hell

I've haven't given up on mine yet, the only thing I've had to replace is my power brick but that was a direct result of my own stupidity, nothing the console did (I doubt the console threw the power brick out the window whilst going down the road at 105 mph...)

When I found out I (utterly subjectively) didn't like and couldn't adapt to the controller layout after having a PS2 for ages. I had bought a 360 second hand, and sold it once again. Never once had any technical problems with it though (had it for 8 months).

#4 - Sold to my friend a month after I got it back

Thankfully i've had a backwards compatible PS3 since it first came out to see me through the hard times

I haven't yet, I've got it for 4 years now and I hate yet to get a RRoD. But I must say, ever since I got my PS3 Slim last September, my 360 hasn't seen a lot of action. I've fired it up ónce because I felt like playing GTA4, but I stopped after 20 minutes already.

Well considering i own a controller 2 games 3 months of unused gold, and i still don't own a console of my own, i'd say never, but there is that pesky thing that i'm waiting for called the next gen next gen consoles. My biggest problem with the 360 has nothing to do with the reliability of its hardware. My issue is that my son has so many friends with one, he has no trouble lending out my games and then not getting them back.

PS3 is safer for me in this regard. He therefore hates the PS3.

I wish I had 3 PS3s.

I gave microsoft 2 more chances after my first 360 decided to "let go of the disk" in the drive and let it spin round like Sonic the damn hedgehog, shatter my copy of FIFA 08 and crack the lens
and the other 2 were red rings

according to my PS3's gamestation warranty, I gave up on the 360 on the 17th April 2009 at 14:23

Mine died twice: The first time it was still protected by the warranty. The second time, it wasn't and I can think of better things to do with a hundred bucks. I gave it the chance and will probably get it repaired at some point in the future anyway but still ...
