I say "In my opinion" or "I think" naturally without a second thought. Maybe that's why it seems so off to me when people don't say it.Matthew94 said:Do you seriously expect people to say "in my opinion" for everything?Instant K4rma said:I get really irritated when people state their opinions as fact. For instance, if I'mdiscussing a movie with someone, and they say "That movie was shit." It's something just about everyone does, but it just gets to me. I do my best to say "I think that movie was shit" or "That movie was shit, in my opinion." It's a small thing, but it really bugs me.
That, and when people say "I could care less."
It's couldn't, dammit! Couldn't!
They don't need to say it because they assume you would know, few people ever think their opinion is fact.
I love that video.Stu35 said:
As a real cure for hiccups the hold your beath system has a grain of truth. You cant hiccup with a totally irregular breathing pattern, you can take random breath lengths at random rates and the hiccups tend to go away.Phasmal said:When I have the hiccups (like right now) and people say `Have a drink!` or `Hold your breath!`.
It doesn't heeeeelp.
I know my hiccups are annoying but they will go away if I ignore them. >.<
For some reason these phrases cause me to fly into an almost uncontrollable rage. I know i shouldnt get more angry. But i do. I just feel the most burning intense dislike for cynics. Mainly because it tends to be flavored with the worst arrogance. As a viewpoint its perfectly acceptable and if you speak intelligently and politely ill respect you. However many seem to use the phrase "woken up" or "cleared eyes" which is a flavor of arrogance that gets my goat like nothing does. Youre super special and we are all blind sheep. Of course.AnarchistFish said:"I don't want to live on this planet anymore"
