When I have the hiccups (like right now) and people say `Have a drink!` or `Hold your breath!`.
It doesn't heeeeelp.

I know my hiccups are annoying but they will go away if I ignore them. >.<

I get really irritated when people state their opinions as fact. For instance, if I'mdiscussing a movie with someone, and they say "That movie was shit." It's something just about everyone does, but it just gets to me. I do my best to say "I think that movie was shit" or "That movie was shit, in my opinion." It's a small thing, but it really bugs me.

That, and when people say "I could care less."

It's couldn't, dammit! Couldn't!
Do you seriously expect people to say "in my opinion" for everything?

They don't need to say it because they assume you would know, few people ever think their opinion is fact.
I say "In my opinion" or "I think" naturally without a second thought. Maybe that's why it seems so off to me when people don't say it.

As a real cure for hiccups the hold your beath system has a grain of truth. You cant hiccup with a totally irregular breathing pattern, you can take random breath lengths at random rates and the hiccups tend to go away.

"I could care less" is pretty high up there.

People who say "no offence". Definately. You MEAN offence :p At least be honest with me.

I don't think my hatred fits into the sentence specifically but I hate when people get offended at something, then tries to tell the artist/writer/person their work is offensive and should stop it.

Here's a thought, look somewhere else and you don't have to be offended anymore! And you don't have to waste your time harassing an someone over it.

"Don't get your panties in a bunch about X" Or "u mad"
I don't mind the actual sayings, but the idea behind it annoys me. It's usually in reference to me telling someone off in LoL for making a sexist/racist/homophobic remark, or for me noting that all the ladies in that game have pencils for arms, or that the only black champion is a jungle girl. Or, rape jokes. Ah, rape jokes. So unfunny to anyone who knows a rape survivor. Which, sadly, is probably everyone here.
Yes, I'm mad, because someone has to be. We can't afford all these trolls giving the gaming community a bad name, and pardon me if I actually want to say something about it.

I'm getting pretty tired of "that's just [an/your] opinion".

Perhaps so. But if Person A can back up their opinion with reasoned arguments, statistical evidence, the concurrence of experts in the field, valid comparisons with similar situations, etc. can we please stop pretending that said opinion is of no more worth than that of Person B whose "opinion" is that the world is flat, Communists line their cabinets with people who worked on Wall Street, and having played a game and having not played a game are equally appropriate reasons to declare someone's views on a game invalid?

"I don't want to live on this planet anymore"
"Lost my faith in humanity"
"I hate humanity"

And the many variations of that
For some reason these phrases cause me to fly into an almost uncontrollable rage. I know i shouldnt get more angry. But i do. I just feel the most burning intense dislike for cynics. Mainly because it tends to be flavored with the worst arrogance. As a viewpoint its perfectly acceptable and if you speak intelligently and politely ill respect you. However many seem to use the phrase "woken up" or "cleared eyes" which is a flavor of arrogance that gets my goat like nothing does. Youre super special and we are all blind sheep. Of course.

When my classmates say "You only live once". Yeah, that should be your incentive to NOT fuck up and get addicted to drugs, fail school, get plastered drunk and get arrested, and in one case of a 16 year old friend, get married to a 21 year old on the grounds of "Well I've been through 2 years of high school, I've already seen pretty much everything in the world."

Yea, that's deep right there. Clearly you have the moral and intellectual high ground, you know, what with the way you just got arrested for drug possession again.

"Time is money"

Time is not money and money is not time.

Time is a human invention of the slow passage of molecular decay among other solar events and money is an idea made real, the idea of a common form of exchange for the convinience of barter.

Paraphrasing the Dalai Llama, "What puzzles me most in the world is man, for he sacrifices his health for money and then his money to get his health back."

When people say "God Bless you" and some people say it with such sincerity.

It doesn't really piss me off, but I can't help it everytime someone says that to me I begin to laugh out loud. They always give me that confused, hurt look once I do it. I realise they mean well, and I even apologize for doing so. I can't help but find certain delusional customs amusing. It's like blurting out "Happy Unicorn Day" or something.

My friends call me argumentative after goading me into an argument. So "You're so easy to annoy" when they're trying to annoy you. Anyone who isn't annoyed by somebody trying to annoy them has something wrong with them.
