Ever since separating from my ex-wife and moving to Florida I have yet to find a local woman with whom a relationship would have worked. I am relatively successful with the ladies around here, but my standards have gone far too high to ever consider dating the vast majority of the female population. I try to be considerate and not lead them on. I explain that I don't want a relationship, but I guess some just assume that I'm lying when I say that. I think a move back northward may be in order soon.

During the first weeks of junior high school some girl from the same course that I was called in to my cellphone and asked whether I'd like to start dating her. It was kinda creepy since no one knew my number at the school that time. She called maybe four times before I managed to fend her off.

Share your stories of members of the opposite sex (or, for our non-traditional readers, the same sex) whom you've rejected...and why you rejected them.
There was this woman that was looking pretty hot and seemed very interested in me, but after going out a couple of times it turned out her favourite topic is herself. And she thinks people who play video games are stupid.

Another woman I rejected was quite attractive, but talking to her was like talking to a bag of rice. She was trying to get some connection with me but... well, there are certain people you meet and instantly know there's nothing that relates you with each other and probably never will.

Then there is one of my colleagues who was chasing me in a way that was on the borderline to stalking. She thinks she's always right, talks all the time (I don't have a problem with talkative people, but she seriously never stops talking, not even for breathing in...) and I don't find her attractive in any way, shape or form. My constantly ignoring her finally paid off and now there's blissful silence in the office ;-)

Hoboya, there's a few things to say. So, in no particular order

*Cute girl, too young
*Hot girl, glued to her cell phone, no initiative in life and an emo. What was i thinking? Oh, right, hotness.
*Lovely girl, smart too. Didn't care about my interests, no initiative in the relationship. I haven't even gotten a reply to my message of breaking up with her.
*Sex-only relationship, worst time of my life, really.
*Fat chick, abandoned her after first meeting IRL.
*Hot girl, fun to hang with. We had seriously opposite views on fundamental questions - she believed that homeopathy and other bullshit works.
These are all incredibly valid reasons to ditch someone.

I continuously turn down girls (women? idk) out of either shyness or actual apprehension. On at least one occasion we were both already naked before I broke it off at the last possible moment and left. It just felt incredibly wrong. I think I'm insane or something

Na, you're just scared of them.

I had my friends sister and her friend both saying they fancied/loved me but they were 13, I was 15 and I wasn't sure whether they were just trying to mess with my head or not so it didn't go anywhere. Pity too because my mates sister was cute then, attractive now and ended up being surprisingly bright.

There was this girl in Onomichi who insisted on showing me around. When we were eating in a restaurant she really came on strong, and by golly, was she ever cute. And also young. WAY too young. I didn't feel like getting arrested in the land of the rising sun, so I tried to turn her down as gracefully as ever possible. Which, in my case, probably meant I brushed her off like an irritating gnat. Sorry, Kaoru, it wasn't personal!

My current girlfriend has threatend me with a gun... twice and shot at me... twice. We live in England, where guns are not legal unless you're a farmer with a permit, though the first time she did this was in Amsterdam... I suppose she got it there and kept it. she says it's alright though because she 'only did it 'cos she loves me'. I've yet to recieve an explanation as to why that is true.

It's far too late to reject her now, she knows where i live: with her.

EDIT: i have just noticed that the vast majority of my sexual partners have tried to kill or have by accident almost killed me in some way or another. I'm sad now.
turn her ass in for attempted murder next time. they haul her ass away and you are FREE. i highly doubt she will shoot at cops, they will put her in her own grave if she tried that. extra tip, hide the gun.
I make it out to sound like i'm sick of her but i'm not, it's not that she's abusive just... not capable of handling drink and me flirting with other men.

I happen to be in the nobody wants me category, but I can relate what happened to a friend a while ago.

My friend was not on good terms with this one girl. The screamed obscenities at each other when they were near, they insulted each other, they hit each other. The girl got herself and my friend suspended from school by picking a fight (my teachers were too stupid to see that my friend had done nothing wrong). This is the kind of girl who would tackle you and start hitting you if you so much as gave her a funny look, which she DID do to me. Naturally, my friend didn't want anything to do with her.

Then, one time at a school dance, a couple of girls walk up to me and my friend and call him an asshole. He asked, "what's your problem?" and they told him that the girl who had been the bane of his existence for 3 years was crying in the bathroom because he wouldn't go out with her.
My friend ended up dancing with her just to avoid getting stones thrown at him by the harpies, but thankfully he avoided going out with the girl without losing all his teeth.

I was bored so I went out with the 'perfect average' girl. Not as in she was really good looking, but she was perfectly average. Her personality was one you couldn't hate, but she had no awesome quirks. Her body was one that was like meh, but she wasn't ugly. But she was boring as hell and the relationship was going nowhere sexually or emotionally so I said fuck that shit.

Yes, twice, both rather slutty, the one was ultra manipulative, the other wasn't a conversation-oriented person at all, I could barely speak to her for more than a minute, so yeah, those two never happened (Thank-goodness)

So the one i dated first did a cat meow from some anime *forgot name* during sex and normal in public etc which lead me to leave her. The other one was pretty much a girl i turned into a nympho then it got outta hand *she liked alot of kinky stuff i still have bad dreams at night* and eventualy she needed/wanted sex so much when i started working and couldnt see her much for a week she had sex with 7 diff guys

Last year, I had a girl in one of my classes who was beyond all matters extremely cute and hot, and she seemed to have a thing for me because of my accent and my looks. I was about to ask her out to a school dance, but she never came back to class for months. One day she returned, and I completely forgot whom she was. She remembered me though, and tried to tell me what happened. Apparently she was expelled from getting drunk at school, oh and that she kind of has sexual relationships with guys since she was in the 6th grade, and she smokes sometimes. She still asked me if I was still interested.

I said no thanks. I have standards in my relationships.

She was fat and not very attractive.

I haven't got laid since (new year's 08/09), and I kinda regret it.
