It could be fun to see some places where the nukes didn't hit so hard and nature had recuperated.

In Bulgaria of course. If you liked the design of City 17(Half Life 2) you should know most of it is modeled after our capital city Sofia. But then again the game might end up looking more like STALKER than Fallout. Aw fuck it Fallout 4 Scotland yeah that get's my vote.

I would like to see how the UK fared in the global nuclear apocalypse. Or Stalingrad. That'd be pretty cool.

I can't think of much else they could do in the US. Though, Point Lookout was interesting enough. So I guess there's potential. It would be interesting to see how the rest of the world is holding up.

Though I've wanted to play as a character who's in the Enclave.

on realistic terms it will be set in New England because they already hinted it with the commonwealth (and it is the commonwealth of Massachusetts not the British commonwealth).

I admit that I'm not very read up on it having only played the PS3 version of fallout 3 but its concievable that the fallout at least could have travelled from other countries which were hit in a large enough detonation right? (Please link me to somewhere that would give a basic overview of the lore if not)

Any large american city would make some sense. Detroit, Chicago, New York. Although people would probably complain that its not taking place out west like the first two games, like they did with Fallout 3.

Being from Michigan I would like to see Detroit be the next city, but I doubt it will be.
Imagine a post-apocalyptic video game where the area was run predominately by the easily angered, frequently violent, self-centered dicks who seem to occupy most street gangs. Imagine having to ally yourself with one of the gangs to avoid getting swallowed whole by a giant scrotum-headed creature of the wastes. Imagine a choice later on in the game to completely wreck them for recruiting slaves, profiteering off of other people's misery, etc. Or, conversely, imagine a post-apocalyptic scenario where you are born into an old-fashioned Italian Mafia. Don't think I have to say anything more on that concept.

Futuristic Spartans.

Now that I have your attention, my honest opinion goes toward Greece (for the architecture, mostly). What if the local culture had gone back to the ancient ways... cyborg Spartan helmets, anyone?

These guys with automatic weapons and a mechanized version of their trademark shield.

I know it won't ever happen, largely because all subtlety is down the crapper the moment future Spartans enter the game... but damn, would that be cool.

I say in the UK. Somewhere up North, too many games are set down south and the North would make much better wasteland. Cities and rural areas. People with geordie accents and the Scots dotted around. Mint.

I still say China. Seeing what happened to the Communists would be immensely interesting. Maybe survivors from neighbouring countries have totally invaded the outer reaches of China. Or, maybe, there are still more than enough Chinese survivors that they've conquered Eurasia.

But, since that won't happen, I'll give a more down-to-Earth answer and say either Florida or Louisiana.
