Steam, Amazon.co.uk, GAME or Play.com depending on who has the best deal. I never buy from Gamestop. Tried pre-ordering Mass Effect 2 from there and a week before release they phoned me up and told me they wouldn't be stocking the PC Collecter's Edition afterall.

Amazon if its a console game, steam and GOG for PC games.
That being said, if I see an old gem of a pc game in a store, I will probably buy it just to keep the hard copies... I probably have 3 copies of Empire Earth, 2 CDs and 1 digital version, but I dont care :D

I'll generally buy from whoever has the best price/pre-order bonuses. But that's usually Play.com or Gamestation.

For PC games, I use Steam, and for Console games, I use my local indie game store, which is amazing. Better then any gamestop I've ever been to.

Gamestop, 'cause we employees get 15% + 10% off (since the Edge card stacks). Sometimes I buy more obscure titles off the 'Bay or at any hole-in-the-wall places that have old school ps1 and xbox games.

I think you mean GAME TRADERS ROBINA!!!!!
I decided to have a look at the GAMETRADERS website and I bring sad news. There's no listing for GAMETRADERS ROBINA!!!!!

It's possible that GAMETRADERS ROBINA!!!!! is no more. However, I have discovered something pretty good instead for those of us that live in the Western Sydney area - there is a GAMETRADERS BLACKTOWN!!!!!
Heh I laughed, seriously we are all Yahtzee Fans

sorry to say, but Gamestop is pretty much it for me, though their PC game selection has been dwindling, so I also go to Best Buy, and ofcourse I occasionally get something on steam.

Mainly Steam I have to admit, but I always have a wander around any games store when I'm out shopping, just in case there's a bargain in among all the old PS2 or PC stuff, they're normally desperate just to shift anything like that anyway!

Speaking of Steam damn them and their Borderlands temptation, I'm really poor until the middle of next week and they're tempting me with Borderlands for £6 and all the DLC for £6 til friday, I think I'm gonna stay strong and hope it shows up again in the January sales.

Used to use Gamestop, but now I mostly use Amazon. The price is better, the incentive is better, and for most popular games they are on my doorstep around 10am on release day.

I still occasionally swing by Gamestop if I am on campus and near the store.

i used to shop at game crazy in hollywood video before that closed up..they were really cool and despite being underage they let me buy m-rated and stuff and they were cool and helpful.
gamestop on the other hand has on three seperate occasions sold me games that were so scratched they did not work.fuck those stupid dicks.gamecrazy also had a warranty for their games, you could break it in half bring it into the store and they replace it,in addition to havingf a disc buffing service.in conclusion gamecrazy was the shit.

I've stopped buying at Gamestop altogther. The staff is quite nasty and I flipped off the manager and told him to suck my dick in front of the entire store after I'd had enough of their shit. I'm kinda proud of that.

Instead I shop at either a local store called "We've Got Freakin' Video Games" or I use Amazon

hey interesting discussion. Do you buy based on price only?

I prefer to buy a game on Quality, if I'm strapped for cash, I would try to buy on both Quality and price, I have found good games and low costs, like Red Faction Guerilla and Saints Row 2 (yes the game Yahtzee loved)
