Yep. Fable is meant for days of old, not gangs of new york stuff.Gfan_00 said:You're version of Fable would be terrible. Seriously, I would find Pete and kill him if he turns Fable into that.

I think that there will be some semblence of an RTS in Fable III (Since Molyneux did mention military affairs at one point).Rex Dark said:A Fable RTS (but not for Fable 3), containing the Rise and Fall of the old Kingdom and the rise of Jack of Blades.
What? That's like saying that every RTS is similar to Warcraft because they're medieval and an RTS. That's horrible logic.Boxpopper said:Interesting, but too close to Warcraft for comfort.Rex Dark said:A Fable RTS (but not for Fable 3), containing the Rise and Fall of the old Kingdom and the rise of Jack of Blades.
Yeah, that's actually a pretty cool idea. Your other post had some cool things also.DrDeath3191 said:le snip,
It's not the fact that its medieval. Its the fact that its fantasy medieval with a cartoony art style and a comical overtone.Radeonx said:What? I was going to say the recycle bin, but oh well.Mrsnugglesworth said:To the trashcan.
Oh snap.
Thanks. And I wouldn't count Molyneux out quite yet. He and I actually think rather similarly. I thought about finding a way to contact him about the very feature he's touting now. I'm sure a few of these ideas are in his brain already. Let's just see if they'll work.Radeonx said:Snip
Ah yeah, those bloody annoying gargoyle things... forgot about them. To be fair I'm only commenting based on the first few hours, I only started playing it properly a couple of days ago.Boxpopper said:There was Scottish, Russian, and German accents in the game (the two latter accents being in the Bordello only).thecaptainof said:I'm not much bothered about the time period, but it'd be nice if they could shift it geographically to somewhere that doesn't remind me of Romford.
Actually, that's one of the things I found quite jarring about it - the only accents you really hear are Romford or Somerset... surely you'd imagine there'd be something in between.
I agree. Jack of Blades was awesome, and had a really cool backstory straight out of epic legends. Fable II took that great standard, threw it aside, and gave the game a disney villain.James Cassidy said:I want to keep Fable in the age where people still used swords as a weapon. I mean yeah we had guns later down line, but Fable 2 did it right with them being the early versions of guns and not ideal for close quarters.
Like the pistols can be used for close quarters, but using a sword is much better.
One think I always wanted was more weapon types. We had Longswords, hammers, axes, and maces and they added a cleaver with the occasional "blunt object." What I want is another class...Twin-blades. Not so much dual wielding, but the ability to have two small blades than just one big one. I mean Twin-blade had them..."duh" I know, but Theresa also had them which we saw in the "paintings" and cutscenes of her from Fable 1. So having two twin-blades would be cool. They would be really fast, but cause the less damage.
I like the guns as they are so I don't want them to change that too much. Dual wielding might be overplayed and it wouldn't make much sense.
I would like more or should I say "better" mythical weapons. In Fable 1 we had like the Sword in the stone, we had the green cleaver, and they had both a bloody and cool history behind each one. This time they kind of slacked a lot in. I love the Sword of Aeon/Avo's Tear.
I also want the ability to choose my pet if at all possible like maybe a tiger when good turns into a Siberian tiger or when bad turns into a panther type or maybe a cat, or something different.
The combat controls were great. Much more improved than Fable 1.
This is not likely, but I want Oakvale back. I loved that place and seeing it in shambles was just heart-wrenching. Maybe you start in a camp at Oakvale where they fixed the place up and started to rebuild.
That's all I want.
Oh and one last thing. A BETTER FINAL BOSS FIGHT. One thing that was truly a disappointment was how the final boss fight was so....lame. Jack of Blades was awesome...fighting Lucien was not. Pathetic.
He's actually getting a lot better about that.Trist66 said:Molyneux promises a lot of things, and fairly rarely delivers.DrDeath3191 said:I think that there will be some semblence of an RTS in Fable III (Since Molyneux did mention military affairs at one point).Rex Dark said:A Fable RTS (but not for Fable 3), containing the Rise and Fall of the old Kingdom and the rise of Jack of Blades.
I thought you were referring to Fable's failed promises, not Fable 2. Because pretty much everything Peter said would be in Fable 2 was there.Trist66 said:DrDeath3191 said:He's actually getting a lot better about that.Trist66 said:Molyneux promises a lot of things, and fairly rarely delivers.DrDeath3191 said:I think that there will be some semblence of an RTS in Fable III (Since Molyneux did mention military affairs at one point).Rex Dark said:A Fable RTS (but not for Fable 3), containing the Rise and Fall of the old Kingdom and the rise of Jack of Blades.
lolwut. Lionhead hasn't made any new games since fable two. And that was the most dissapointing "deepest game ever."
