I'd prefer it if PM made the game a little more open world akin to Oblivion or Morrowind. Sure those two pretty much set the mark for single player, open world, RPG's in medieval setting but don't offer the kinds of customisation that Fable does, at least not as far as character body evolution goes.

Not sure if the next Fable is incorporating that or not since I haven't read what is going into it. That would be too much like hype, and at this stage so much can be cut out of the game that it is pointless reading too much into anything Molyneux says.

A Fable RTS (but not for Fable 3), containing the Rise and Fall of the old Kingdom and the rise of Jack of Blades.
I think that there will be some semblence of an RTS in Fable III (Since Molyneux did mention military affairs at one point).
Molyneux promises a lot of things, and fairly rarely delivers.
He's actually getting a lot better about that.
lolwut. Lionhead hasn't made any new games since fable two. And that was the most dissapointing "deepest game ever."
I thought you were referring to Fable's failed promises, not Fable 2. Because pretty much everything Peter said would be in Fable 2 was there.
Besides the part that it would be an epic, free-roaming game, with the "deepest" choices ever? Personally, I don't find eating cake over an apple an epic choice, nor farting vs dancing.
Sorry it took so long to respond, I didn't see the new stuff.

No, choosing to eat a pie or not is not a moral choice. However, deciding wether to allow a girl to keep her youth or for you to keep yours is. While I'll admit that not every choice is a thought provoking one, there is certainly more than you give credit for.

Yeah... a video game that was based in the times of magic and dragons and stuff will not assimilate well into the world of 1900s and above. If this indeed happens, not only will I stop playing Fable games, I will burn my copies of Black and White 1 & 2.

No, no, no...

Fable is, in my opinion obviously, the worst RPG serie sof the last decade. It should end. Now.

Peter is a very creative guy I'm sure his talents can be used to create something better.. not a washed out RPG-rip with no flair whatsoever in it.

To Bethesta Studios.

actually, i take it back. I just want the next one to have a more open "elder scrolls-esque" world.
but time period-wise, i think the last one had it about right. I especially appreciated how the pirate elements had nothing to do with anything resembling Pirates of the Caribbean. On the other hand, though, i did really miss the medieval atmosphere of the first one. maybe if they re introduced armor and bows and arrows in the next one it would feel better.

How about this:
Your character (either good or evil nothing new there) has united Albion into one great nation, and the people tell there monarch they want more. You are the leader of the first Empire of Albion, and you will conquer all lands and nations of the Fable universe. Will you rule your Empire with an iron fist enslaving other nations and people, or will you give to them the same rights you would give your own people. Either way, conquer the fuck out of everyone and everything.

What do you think about this idea?

No where, hurry up and make black and white 3 and do it properly Lionbrain.
Chop chop you Pizza Hut inhalers. (I'm not even being funny, I lived very close to their offices a few years ago)

Anyway, have fun with Fable, not much of a fan here. But I would like BnW3 ^^

That would be... a really bad idea. That might be a fun game, but it certainly wouldn't be a Fable game.

I would put more neutral choices in the game.
Lol like the name.

+ agreed, terrible idea for the fable series...

I think that Fable III will be the game that shows if Fable as a series is going to be amazing or horible.
My fable III hopes:
Being able to fully customize your charicter at the begining of the game and then let your actions slightly modify their appearance.
And also put more nutrality into the moral choices. Sereously all of my charciters are evil without me actualy trying to do anything bad, except for one charicter where i tried to be good.

You're version of Fable would be terrible. Seriously, I would find Pete and kill him if he turns Fable into that.
Why? Its better than putting all of the innovative power into a damn dog.
Do not. talk down. on the Dog. I actaully went with "One" choice. Fable 2 without your loyal canine friend is a souless realm of un-life stu k in perpetual nightmare.

In a trash bin. Fable sucked, and Fable 2 Sucked more.

Also, all of Lionhead can burn down while it's at it.

I agree. Jack of Blades was awesome, and had a really cool backstory straight out of epic legends. Fable II took that great standard, threw it aside, and gave the game a disney villain.
It was even more insulting when everyone around Albion all feared Lucien.

The Commandant, which was a far better boss fight, even feared him and at least he was fun to fight if all but a little lame. Since he was supposed to be a "mini-boss" you can't really expect much, but after all the bullshit of Lucien being this "powerful evil guy who will kill your family if you do anything to anger him" I expected to him at least put up a fight, but instead we get this Disney villain like you said.

Through out the whole game I was like "Oh man, you are so dead, when I power myself up you're ass is mine." I even exclaimed my revenge on him when he said "Your wife and child are dead, splattered their blood all over the walls of your home." You bastard, I thought. Here a little kid with a wooden sword could kill him. How did I defeat him? A jewelery box....a stupid old kingdom music box *facepalm*

You know I could have made a better boss battle than that and still use the elements from the Fable 2. Since the tower can only grant the wish of one, the tower creates and arena similar to that of the Colusseum. There you fight Lucien fully powered up and who can kick your ass. You have to wear him down and when he is gasping for breath you suck out his power using the music box. You have to do thing three times and then it takes you back to the ending Fable 2 has where Reaver shoots him. See that was easy?

Jack of Blades was an awesome villain who was thought couldn't die. There is a villain for you. When you know that even though many heroes have defeated him, he still came back to life stronger than ever. You killed him one last time and this time you make sure he is dead. Avo's Tear in the ass bee-otch.
