I screwed up my game a bit by doing things so horribly wrong. I took the quest to destroy Megaton, then stole everything useful in Megaton, including the money; this required me to kill everyone. After selling or using most of the items I had obtained I left for Tenpenny Tower. Immediately I killed the homeless man, then the ghoul while he was trying to get in. Upon my arrival on the balcony I killed Mr. Burke (I had RL-3 with me and he killed Tenpenny with such force that he fell off the balcony and I never saw him again, luckily he dropped his sniper on the balcony) followed closely by everyone else, starting with the shopkeeper. I tried not to kill the doctor, but RL-3 killed him anyway, which I find hilarious. Then I set off the nuke anyway, just to be a dick. Now I have an entire tower AND a massive irradiated junk heap. Seeing as I never got my room key I had to access the room from the balcony but can't sleep in the bed or use the robot manservant, although he will still greet me as his master. Should I attempt to sleep in the bed labelled 'My bed' it tells me I can't sleep in an owned bed, Apparently even if it's mine!

Megaton. Cause i nuked it once and realized that it was probably the most useful town in the game.

megaton because if you blow it up you may get the room in ten penny tower but it gets screwed over if you let the ghouls in. because it becomes "to dangerous to enter at this time" even if you kill all the ghouls.

Wait so if you let the ghouls into Tenpenny, you can't go in anymore?

Megaton because doing good and helpful things while living in a good area is a great cover for being completely evil and morally corrupt

Does gear not dissapear after a few days if you leave it in random places and containers?

I thought Megaton and Tennpenny were the only safe spots?

Or am I too used to playing Oblivion?
I thought the same thing. For some time I was competently using Silver's house in Springavile as my home. Then one day I come home and open the cabinet to find that all my gear has vanished.

Though that may be because I have a respawning containers mod, which I downloaded because I never understood why all containers the Lone Wanderer touches are never used by any other creature again.

thats probably why. Because from what I've read on the official fallout forums, items don't disappear like they do in Oblivion. Though always a chance someone will come by and take the items. So I guess they do? Actually, not sure now...but thought in the vanilla version the items didn't disappear. But yeah, that mod probably "refreshed" the container.

Ok I need a little bit of help. I turned on my game and any time I try to fast travel, the game cuts to black and freezes. So I turn my 360 off and turn it back on and no matter how many times I fast travel it always freezes when I get there. How can I fix this?

My good character is in Megaton and my evil character is in Tenpenny Tower.

My good character told the sheriff about Mr. Burk's plan and he got shot, and then I killed Burk trying to help the sheriff. His son gave me the house after I disarmed the bomb.

My evil character raided the two shops, the armory, and the doctors place with Jerico before nuking the place, the survivors of the town never knew it and loved me 'till the blast.

Later I ended up killing Mr. Burk and [generic top floor security guard] because they spotted me enslaving the one lady. I stripped them and hid their bodies in Burk's tub. Also, Tenpenny disappeared, so me and a old guy (who somehow never noticed the shootout in the hall) have the top floor all to ourselves with no-one the wiser.

Sidenote:My keyboards battery died while typing this, finished the post with the on screen kb. Mouse typing is hard...

Ouch... that sucks. All your gear!

I think just to be safe I'll stick to Megaton. I can display my bobbleheads there, and I have some nice home deco involving teddy bear drug and sex orgies around the house.

I thought I was the only one that decorated my house in pointless ways.

Nope... I am a sucker for it.

I have all my unique weapons displayed on floors and organised into thier categories (energy, big guns etc)

My workbench doubles up as a bookshelf with about 40 books on it

Have all unique items like Lincoln gear and Historical artifacts lined up around the walls.

All my apparel is in the little room at the top of the stairs in a big true to life mess on the floor.

And there are around 25 teddy bears all over the house performing debauched sex acts and lying half dead in a mess of empty whiskey bottles and syringes.
