i'm not sure if any of you were paying attention at the end, but the game makes it pretty clear that goof-off-in-the-Animus time for Desmond is over and it's time for him to step up to the plate and put a stop to the Templars once and for all before the world gets blown to bits. he's been given a specific task, a task we'll be taking him through once either A) he figures out what the hell is going on, or B) he explains what happened to someone smarter than him, and they take him kindly by the hand, lead him along and point at whoever he needs to stab, as usual.
can't wait to see AC3, no matter where it's set. i love this series. it's about time a game franchise stops treating it's fans like dopes that can't handle anything more strenuous than "go kill the aliens on intergalactic jihad against earth, O Brave Space Marine" and "go save the world from the dark lord who's using the world's life force against it's inhabitants with your best friend and your mentor, O Brave Youth of Questionable Gender" and starts messing with our heads on this kind of level. seriously, when i found all the Truth glyphs and watched the full memory in AC2, the ensuing O.O lasted over an hour.
