Where should the next assassin's creed take place?

I'd love to see one take place in Mesoamerica (preferably Aztec or Inca. Aztec had the nice big cities, Inca had the multi-level mountain cities, so either way you get something cool), or in the Mughal Empire (ie, India from around 1500-1800). Victorian London would be good too, and considering how it's a rather better known period, it's probably more likely.

god no, the names in italian were bad enough, if they make them japanese, noone will know what the hell's going on anymore.
besides, how would the offspring of an italian guy be japanese and in turn have american offspring?
it would make more sense to have the new game be about an italian immigrant in new york or something (mafia, anyone?)
or, my personal favorite: the carribean! that would just be awesome. lot's of locations, colorful period and jack sparrow references ^^

No, I think that means some poor bastard would A) be in the future so there really is no urgency to stop the satellite launch and B) have been stuck in the Animus for months on end with no break. Also C), have chosen the suckiest ancestor to relive that he possibly could have

Maybe Ezio's offspring were Jesuits who travelled to Japan???? Also abouyt the names personally I don't have much problems pronouncing Japanese names. Most people just look at them and don't even try, in fact that rule applies to most Asian names.

I'm thinking that it will be 50/50 between Desmonds time and whatever time period they choose. They should set it in feudal Japan, they've made a bunch of hints about subject 17 and Desmond having a common ancestor and 17 used the Animus to become a samurai. I also agree that England would be fun to explore.

As unlikely as Japan would be, this would be my favored option too.

It'll either take place in the present or it will probably 1700's. Just a guess.

Mafia: Doubt it, The ancestor has to free-run and the combat will probably be melee oriented again. I can'tsee that happening in that setting, you could probably gaet away with free-running but combat probably wouldn't work.

Carribean: Again free-running probably wouldn't work, maybe in the port cities around the Carribean, but I don't know about their archetecture.

Feudal Japan: I'd like to see it explored, but I doubt that it will be done here. It's been done to many times before(usally not well), and I don't know why but it just doesn't feel likely.

Well Brotherhood kinda sets up another sequel before the inevitable full game as Desmond.
There's no reason Desmond's Arc can't end and we still can't play in another time period.

As for the actual time period, I can't say what would make a good one. Continuing the trend of rarely visited times and locales I guess that'd put WWII out of the question, but beyond that I still can't say.

hmmmm, WWII might be out, but what about WWI? Think it would be interesting to see a war-time assassins creed, Have the Protagonist be an undercover agent of some sorts in a war (The american civil war? Revolutionary or French Revolution maybe?)

Ezio spends two games trying to kill the pope (and his entire family) and then his kids become jesuits? I think not XD
of course there could be other reasons, like.... they were posing as merchants. but that's not really the point, they can always come up with a story. as for the names... it's not so much the pronouncability, but more the fact that I can't ever get the straight of it. if there's a bunch of japanese names, I never know what's what. and i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one. and yes, of course it's most asian names, but we were talking about japan. I know everyone loves it because of the anime and everyone loves games about feudal japan since yathzee mentioned it in his zelda review, but I just can't get into it. sorry.
also, how would they blend in? Italians and japanese don't look alike... kinda sticks out when you're a head taller than the crowd you're trying to hide in XD
