Somewhere in central USA perhaps? Also maybe much earlier than previous games?

For me, Fallout needs to step back. Its built up the NCR and the west coast a lot. Perhaps its time to leave it be. Otherwise it will soon become a franchise without a wasteland. So my request to Fallout is: Go back, turn back the clocks to 2100's or very early 2200's. Move away from the coasts and the big factions already built up and start again. Make the wasteland more dangerous and deadly, more of a challenge. Make radiation more prevalent and dangerous. The Mojave desert in F:NV was (in my mind) too similar to the expanses and plains of New Austin in Red Dead Repemption.

Maybe set it in a city? The ruins of DC made a brilliant battleground between man, mutant and everthing in between without comprimising the sense of exploration.

I agree the next Fallout should be set between 1 and 2 or sometime around then.

West Virginia just because the intro could have country roads in it.

Thinking about it though what it could have is a conflic centred on Salt Lake City. On one side the NCR and on the other side the RSA (Reunited States of America), it sounds a lot like New Vegas but the diffence is that both are 'good'. It might be interesting to see a Kingdom, not an evil Roman empire but one that actually epitomises noblesse oblige. However, 3 distinct areas maybe a bit much, unless Salt Lake City was the Kingdom but that might be drifting too close to to New Vegas.

Well, I'd personally like to see the Seattle/Ft. Lewis area... that could make for some very interesting and varied environments... but I'm guessing it'll be either Colorado/Utah/the Rockies in general (and they'd better have a goddamned Cannibal! The Musical reference or two if it is) or somewhere in that big ol' radioactive dustbowl that is the midwest.

...also, I love the suggestions of Chicago, simply because it's already been done. I know the game isn't exactly accepted canon, but Fallout: Tactics was set in and around Chicago [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kxq3Rmq1ho], folks.

Where should #4 sit?
In Soviet Russia. Every game placed in Soviet Russia is automatically 140% better ! ;)
But we already have Stalker.
Are you implying that one game per setting is enough ?
Obviously not, don't be absurd!....... We have Metro 2033 as well!
So you're implying that the quantity of games taking place in same/similar setting is somehow limited ?

No, I'm not even being really serious. Just joking.
