Whoa, what do you mean? Sonic 4 hasn't even come out yet, how can you possibly bash it?mjc0961 said:Unlike the developers of games starting a certain blue hedgehog, Capcom and Inti Creates know how to take a series back to its roots successfully.

I've heard Heavy Rain is the spiritual successor to that game, but I haven't played either one of 'em so I really don't know.UberMore said:Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophesy).
Yeah you're right. I think the thing your looking for here is a storyline. Sure, running about rooftops is incredibly fun, but at least give us an interesting reason to do so!bleachigo10 said:Mirrors Edge should get a sequel. The first one had the right idea but was missing something that prevented it from becoming a really good game. They were deffinetly on the right track though.
Who said I was talking about Sonic 4? That's not the first game where Sega claimed that they were returning Sonic to his roots, you know.apelsz said:Whoa, what do you mean? inFamous was horrible. Why did you like it?supertoast099 said:InFamous was awesome. Why didn't you like it?
Sorry, I've just heard a LOT of hate on Sonic 4 already. Honestly, I don't like Sonic very much, but I'm waiting to see if it's good. If so, then I'll wait pleasantly for Sonic 4 Episode 2. If not, then I can finally prove to my friend I'm right.mjc0961 said:Who said I was talking about Sonic 4? Luigi's Mansion, i had to quote you for this because it desperately needs a sequel! Nintendo could have made a ton of money if they did, with the wii motion and what not and the vaccum put together= AWESOME GAME!supertoast099 said:After playing some PS2 classics last night (Bully, Psychonauts, TimeSplitters: Future Perfect) I started thinking about games that never got any much deserved sequels.
So Escapists, which game series would you like to see continued?
Amen, exactly the two games I was thinking of. Mirror's Edge wasn't BAD, it was INCOMPLETE. It could've done with a deeper story and a little longer gameplay.vanillabeans320 said:Chrono Trigger/Cross, and Mirror's Edge. Other than those, most of my favorite series have gotten sequels
Personally, I'm not holding my breath for Sonic 4 either. I am quite skeptical that it will end up being another failed attempt at going back to the roots and all that other stuff SEGA speaks of for almost every new Sonic game these days, but I can wait for the demo before rendering judgment (game appearing on Xbox Live Marketplace = instant "trial" version of game).apelsz said:Sorry, I've just heard a LOT of hate on Sonic 4 already. Ok. Once again, sorry, I just thought you were.mjc0961 said:But no, I wasn't specifically talking about Sonic 4 when I made that comment.
I enjoyed InFamous because it was essentially an open-world platformer. It had everything in it that I love about a game: it was easy to pick up and play (seriously, how it jumps right into your last loaded game when you start it up was pure brilliance! It actually saves you a good amount of time); it had lots of collectibles that were fun to find; you could upgrade your powers to make them more devastating; the story was engaging and had a unique style; the missions were extremely varied and fun to do; when you died, you respawned relatively close to your last position so you never had to spend hours redoing the same mission over and over; the world was fun to explore; and overall, it was just a great experience that really impressed me.mjc0961 said:inFamous was horrible.
