I didn't get the connection with 10 that I got with VINameIsRobertPaulson said:An opinion shared by the vast amount of people on here, created from the extreme level of hype VII gets. It was a good game, and great at the time, but even as a fan I can't say it deserves the godlike level of praise it gets.CthulhuMessiah said:Final Fantasy. The last good game in the series, IN MY OPINION, was VI.
And the correct answer for best FF is 10, if you were wondering.
Halo 3 had a forge but it was not nearly as cool or convenient as reaches forge. halo 3 forge was clunky and hard to work with, you got small spaces and all it was good for was placing weapons and crates.Justice4L said:Halo 3 had forge...Zack1501 said:I don't think any game needs to stop as long as they make them better and add more features like in reach when they added the awesome forge mode. Thats why I bought it. black ops didn't impress me it seemed like a map pack not a game. series's don't need to stop crap games do.
I think Halo should keep going, even though ODST and Reach were average and it's not as if they are digging the series out of a grave as the end of Halo 3 was definitely setting up a sequel.
In one sense, I do agree with you. Why the hell is Halo 4 being Halo /4/? Why not go and do something else in the Halo universe? There is plenty out there, and there really are not that many Halo games. Every one who says there are obviously haven't seen the list of Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy (Insert other series which has more then ten games released in the last twenty years).AwkwardTurtle said:This is the one that comes off the top of my head. I mean come on right? The motto for Halo 3 was "Finish the fight." It was supposed to be done. Over. They won't stop until they milk this franchise for every single penny they can. x3lRookiel said:I personally think the halo series, I mean ODST was just Awful and Reach was ok I guess, and now they are developing Halo 4! when will it end?!
RandV80 said:In my opinion people need to realign there perspective here. It shouldn't matter how long a games been running if each release is highly polished high quality game. This usually applies to Nintendo games but I'll extend it to something like Halo as well. Until a series starts to falter, like Sonic for one, or Final Fantasy still has some life in it but is faltering and needs a big rebound, just keep them going I say.
The problem on the other hand is when a game finds big success and cashing in it's name the company 'franchises' it, releasing a series of minimal upgrade sequels on a short release cycle. Activision is the obvious culprit here, having already over saturated us with Guitar Hero until it became irrelevant and are continuing to milk Call of Duty for all it's worth.
The key here is that a recognized name is a guarantee sale, and a guarantee sale should lead to a higher development budget and a more flexible release schedule to polish the game till it's just right. Complain about the sequels that don't take advantage of this and leave the good guys alone. Forcibly shutting down the Mario/Zelda/Final Fantasy/Halo/etc franchises will not bring you better games.
