Uncharted had amazing voice acting.

I liked Ghost from Modern Warfare 2. He sounded like he was actually into it.

Dragon Age: Origins wasn't too bad. Some people I could have done without, but others were good.

Black Ops had some good voices. Except Kennedy. Nobody can do a Kennedy.

VTM Bloodlines and Batman Arkham Asylum

I give those two special props for the crazy dialogues.
Anyone can do a decent impression of a soldier spewing military codewords. Doing alternative stuff convincingly enough is much harder.

Most of the BW stuff, especially the ME series; Psychonauts for sure. Ellen McLain's work in the Portal series was pretty awesome.

Dragon Age: Origins was great, imo.
Especially Alistair and Morrigan.
Actually, most BioWare games have really good voice acting. Baldur's Gate 2 is of course slightly extra awesome thanks to Minsc. The Mass Effect series is also great, though I don't really care for Mark Meer's voice acting.

Another series with great voice acting is Fable, it's great, funny and memorable.

I have that entire monologue memorized. Sometimes I whip it out when people informally ask who I am.

OT: I just started RDR again, and I'm still impressed by the actors. Especially West Dickens hamming it up.

Bioware games. I think a major reason why they have a reputation as great writers is actually because of their voice-acting. They're pretty good writers and all, but it's the voicework that make their games work.

Batman: Arkham Asylum had Mark Hamill as the Joker, and he's bloody fantastic.

L.A. Noire comes to mind. It helps that a good majority of the characters are professional actors.

Also, Brutal Legend. I honestly think Dolvinicus is Tim Curry's best video game role, and one of my favorite roles he's done. Jennifer Hale and Jack Black were great, as usual. Even the musicians did a decent job, which is surprising to me.

Mass Effect 2. So many voices. (Join your voice with mine, and sing victory, ever lasting - GM)

The games from Rockstar usually have really good voice acting and Final Fantasy X and XII had some amazing voicework. In FFXII especially the narrator of the intro and Frans voicework amazed me.

Batman: Arkham Asylum. Mostly for the fact that it uses the original voice actors from the animated series. I mean, Mark Hamill as the Joker? Pretty hard to beat

KOTOR series. I'd also say that Marvel vs Capcom 3 has some really amazing voices (and terrible ones), such as Dr. Doom and Deadpool.
Sonic Adventure had by far THE BEST Eggman ever. His hammy voice and the theme was amazing.

That and Jennifer Hale seems to make the general voice quality of any game go higher

In terms of just NAILING the time period it's set in? Bioshock, no question.

In terms of just having a really big cast with LOTS of great voice talent in it? Kingdom Hearts.

Personal favorites:

The Legacy of Kain games. Michael Bell and Simon Templeman do such a good job I get shivers just thinking about it!

Dragon Age: Origins. Overall superb acting, especially from the various party members. Also, Simon Templeman as Logain!

Mass Effect 2. Pretty much everyone does a fine job, with a possible exception with BroShep. He just sounds stale when compared to the glorious tnes of Jennifer Hale's voice.

Most BioWare games have good voice acting. That's kind of what that studio prides themselves in, along with writing. I think Knights of the Old Republic 2 is probably their best voice-acted game.

I recently beat both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, and I was really, really impressed with the voice acting in both games.

I remember Bioshock had really good voice acting.
