All the big civilisation before crumble, why do you think this one won't?
Yeah, maybe in a few decades, centuries perhaps. Hopefully they don't go after us before they go out with a bang.
As stated by the Chart of Rights and Freedoms. You don't like French, evidently.
All people are equal... but some are
more equal. Seriously though, I'm not saying equal per-person, but in land-mass and population, you're easily outnumbered, why should 10 people get less attention so that 1 can get far more than they deserve? I don't mind the French, but you guys get more attention than several provinces together, and you still want more. I had a student stay at my house for a year, he was from Montreal, and he was really funny and cool, and he admitted that separatists need to shut up, which made me like him even more.
No, you can accept kirpan(religious knife) in school but not french? Just thank god it not russian, you'll still be in class for another 20 years.
The knife is religious. And I disagree with that too. It's stupid. If my religion says that black people are evil and must die, can I go around killing them? The charter lets religious people get away with too much. And Russians are pretty badass, I'd be down with learning that if they taught it here.
Yet your reflect why we want out. You don't like us so why should we stay? Beside, even if you own the rest of the country doesn't make you superior to others. Yes, they most likely be a embargo... from both side. We and You, won't win. All of Canada will lose. As for a reason, I'm not a separatist, so ask one out. Be sure to be polite or i won't respond to his actions.
We don't like you because you whine about what most people see as a non-issue. It's a vicious cycle. Being a majority is everything in a democratic system, in case you didn't know. It's not always fair, but according to our system, if there was a vote: "Should Quebec stop complaining about their apparently bad treatment?", I bet the polls would show that the majority says "yes". Besides, there is nowhere to go, even without trade embargoes, you aren't getting far, it's silly. It's like if I wanted Vancouver Island to drift over to Hawaii, and become part of America. Geography and political boundaries prevent it.
It come with population, you we learn a bit about newfound land, New Brunswick but not Nunavut. It wasn't establish at the time. Beside, do you think it deferent here? We Studdied the same thing as you. If you feel cheated, go to the Minister of Education. You know what different, we pay a lot more for our book because they need to be translated. I should fell cheated, not you.
I wish I could do something about our terrible education system, but I'm pretty certain that horrible education systems are world-wide. Lack of money, connection to the students, and stupid gimmicks (Planning courses, anyone?) plague the system. Also, I doubt you spend a year learning about British Columbia, so don't feel too cheated
Yes, and without looking... But don't ask me Nunavut, it wasn't establish back than. Alberta/Edmonton, British Columbia/Victoria, Manitoba/Winnipeg, New Brunswick/Frederickton , Newfoundland/St-Johns, Nova Scotia/Halifax, Ontario/Toronto, Prince Edward Island/Charlottetwown, Quebec/Montreal (D'ha...), and Saskatchewan/Regina, Northwest Territories/Yellow knife, Yukon/Whitehorse (as in What color is napoleon white horse?). How did i do it, most of them got a Hockey team. We laugh in class trying to imagine how english mans say Charlottetown. Frederick or Fred was the name of one of my sister boyfriend, so it stick in my memory. THe Napoleon joke. The Fact that NW Territory was establish because they were looking for gold hence the name. "You backstab me with gold!". The only one that i really have a problem with is Saskatchewan. I always want to say Saskatoon. How did i fare. Also, you can subtrack point because of labrador, he the only one missing.
Nunavut is Iqaluit. Fair enough, however, as a few years ago it was the NWT. Labrador is something to do with "St. Johns", I believe.
Some Americain... No Most americain, according to a survey one of my teacher got at the time, can't light a lightbulb with a Metal string and a Battery. So, don't let that get under your skin.
I guess they spend all their time trying to learn the 50+ states they have
Anyhow, my point is that I (and most Canadians) find that separatists are quite misguided, perhaps even spoiled, as Quebec seems to be Canada's little pet. All we west-coaster's have is weed and the whales, neither of which interests me much. My friend even joked about the Quebec issue, by suggesting that BC and Alberta team up, take over Alaska, and form the "Republic of Canada". With Alberta's oil, beef, and rednecks, and our pot, we'd be unstoppable. Either way, us Canadians have to stick together and prepare for the day when USA tries to take us over
