Uh, having the US as the antagonist would be interesting for once, of course, politicians would have a field day on that one...

Well, apparently our industry isn't mature enough to deal with the ambiguity of Vietnam, and the Middle East is too contemporaneous, so ghost zombie dinosaurs.

Usually a corporation or the likes of that are used as a front on American soil, are run by American men and usually just decide to blow shit up. And the fact America does nothing, it's some dude who went through a court martial and has a gripe that has to be the hero and sees no better target than the pricks that - turns out - run just about damn everything all because of Capitalism and the American politicians turning a blind eye to the bribery that they call profit.

If that hasn't been done, I can't imagine why it hasn't. But here's how I see who's next...

The next group of enemies will probably be North Koreans as it turns out they probably end up with a larger population than first thought that just took over China by infiltration and now have a freaking army the likes of which no one has seen. They then decide to take over Asia. Aw hell no! America is not going to-- Oh wait... We will allow it because it's happening over there and Japan is pretty much our body shield. Plus Libera- I mean, Americans just hate war.

Then, you guessed it! A conservative army hero takes it upon himself to round up an old crew that survived with him during a tour of Vietnam as they were cryogenically frozen for just a moment like this. They then decide to kick ass, take names and turn the entire place to be an American paradise. F*** Europe, these guys are too hardcore to give up the atomic bomb.

Well, that's what I see anyways. And I'd probably give it a play just for the laughs.

[small]No I am not a conservative, it's just what I see happening next time. Whether I want it or not.[/small]

Hmm you present a difficult question, is there a faction with an evil intention we haven't fought in a videogame yet?

Aliens, Nazis, Robots/Cyborgs, Goblins/evil mythological nasties. Have all been covered, there's no way of making war games any more interesting or original.
How about Americans? Reasoning: The Nazis have been fictionally kicked around to a rediculous extent, and why? Because they committed genocide. Well Americans did so as well. At least somebody stopped the Nazis before they wiped out the entire Jewish population, because finding an Indian after the American continent made a nice sport of curb-stomping the Native Americans so they can steal their land. It seems odd that America's personal genocide is neatly looked over all the time while Nazis can't be forgotten, and the only reason for this seems to be, aside from the scale, because Nazis were stopped and lost the war and we didn't.
Why not make a game about a French guy who's out to topple the officials who were supporting the slaughter of the Natives? That would be original
Maybe becuase, for that game to make sense, you'd have to lose misreabley.

Oh, and believe me, the whole "Native Genocide" is definitely not overlooked in America. And it is completely different from the Holocaust.

A large population of: rabbit in human suits, fruit that turn into dinosaurs when they get too ripe, a legion of Jack Thompsion people, and maybe a race of green chickens with psychic powers.

And it would be in space.

Because of Awesome
Always because of Awesome *nods solemly*

Also, How about JUST FOR ONCE, you fight as the "good guys" but slowly begin to realise that you are the baddies (sorta like what many Germans did in WW2) and jump ship, that would be awesome

There, a whole new genre uncovered in one word.
