Captain Vidal from Pan's Labyrinth is the worst I can think of.

Not only did he do horrible things, but he slept like a baby at night because he felt totally justified in his depravity.

If you haven't seen the movie watch it. The movie is so good because despite his evil he is such a compelling and well portrayed character.
Yes, this entirely. He was so realistically portrayed, so believably sadistic and evil, and it's all the more chilling when you realize there were probably real people like him.

Twisted son of a...

He kills his "father" by skinning him alive.

His entire deck is about Torture.

Durring his match with Mai Kujaku in the manga, his head gets cut off and it doesn't phase him.

To get rid of a guy who's in a comma, he trys to slam the knife inside the Millennium Rod into Odion's head.

Out of boredom when everyone was captured, he wanders around the place blowing shit up for fun.

He likes to slowly torment his enemies and pray on their fears.

At times, his face litteraly starts to pull to the side and kinda astral project itself.

In the dub, he wants to beat the Pharaoh to rule the world.

In the original, he just wants to kill whoever he faces. No motif, he just wants to kill people.

And last but not least, he plays Children's tading cards with a gigantic purple cape that goes as mental as his hair.

Hank Scorpio from one episode of The Simpsons. He KILLED James Bond and seized the East Coast of America. He's the definition of evil.
But but but... he's just so NICE! He gave Homer his own football team!

Bella Swan from Twilight is probably the most demented, sociopathic and unsympathetic character in the history of literature.
I agree, especially since she lacks any form of believable human emotion, she has to be plotting world war 3 or something

The devil from Fantasia. That was easy.
Nostalgia Critic much?

I don't like using the world evil really, but if I have to take someone I'll probably say Adam Sutler in V for Vendetta. He is everything a free man should fear and fight.

Man... in Bambi. Nothing is as villanous and deliberate as the hunter who killed Bambi's mom :(

Thanos... easy.

Kills off half (or was it one-third?) of the universe To impress the girl he likes, the grim reaper/LadyDeath.

Makes the devil (Mephisto) his *****.

Makes planets spell out his name, totally ruining whatever life was on them.

Battles what's left of the Marvel universe by himself.

Thanos.

The face of pure fucking evil.

He turns young girls into magical girls and grants them one wish, only to have them turn into monsters after causing them pain and emotional scarring.

He turns them into magical girls by tearing their souls from their bodies and putting it into a container, basically making them zombies.

He's incapable of emotions, seeing them as a disease, and does not understand human standards.

He believes he's doing good, and saving the universe of entropy, when really he's just being a massive prick.

He constantly pushes a girl into making a contract with him.

He's unkillable. When one dies, another takes it's place, and eats the corpse of the old one!

Just...look at him

He/She sounds awesome... what is his/her name? Or its name?

Lijah "Fething" Cuu!

There is nothing redeemable about this fucker. He rapes women, he kills for the sake of killing, he was more than willing to let others take the blame for his killings and he revelled in sadistically playing with those who he intended to kill. And he did it all under the nose of his commanding officer, getting away with it for about 2 years. And he killed like 3 main characters.

Exalted's Ebon Dragon, full stop. The guy's the result of fusing Satan, Hitler, all the KKK members in the world with a(n un)healthy dose of Westborou Baptist Church. We are talking about a being literally incapable of telling the truth unless it would hurt you more to hear it, who is the cosmic embodiment of all things twisted, defiled, wrong, hateful, spiteful, treacherous etc.. He invented the ultimate embodiment of goodness just so he could have something to properly oppose. His every action makes the world worse and he laughs while doing so. He'd be cartoony if he weren't so damned terrifying.

The Watchers from Drakengard....they're giant floating babies who possesed a Six year old girl to basically cause the end of the world and ruined her life, as well as basically wanting to destroy the world.

Caim comes in a close second with the fact he solved the problem of his enemies using child Soldiers by Murdering said child soldiers...then again he isn't out to destroy the world, just the empire. But it's close.

The whole Firefly Family in The Devil's Rejects. Complete sociopaths, they murdered and tortured complete strangers for fun. They had zero empathy, and a childish fascination with the pain of others. Absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever.

I'm pretty much of the "torture ain't right" school of thought, but these asshats were so utterly repugnant, so hideously opposed to every positive human trait that when they finally got their comeuppance towards the film's finale I almost cheered. Now that's fucked up.

Can I ask why SammiYin got a warning for his post?
To be perfectly honest, I (and I'm willing to believe that I'm not the only one) was thinking the same thing. I know that this might seem like trolling because of the backlash that various gods (but mainly the Christian/Judeo-~Christian one) get on this site but the fact remains that god in the Bible is a fucking evil character.
So can I get an answer?
I wouldn't mind an explanation of SammiYin's warning either.
Seems unreasonably tetchy.

And I agree with you yet more, HardkorSB.
"I wonder if anybody's put forward Yahweh yet" was the very first thing I thought when I saw this thread.

You don't need to look far into the Bible to see how malicious the main character can be... It's widely accepted amongst the book's fans that Yahweh banishes every creature he creates (including the ones called his children) to a world of pain, inevitable death, and the prospect of eternal, unimaginable punishment as the penalty for not using their free will to do exactly as he says, because a talking snake tricked them into doing one naughty, reversible thing on one occasion...

And that just takes place in the introduction...
OPINION- i don't actually know, but

from what i can tell, his mono-syllabic post was interpreted as a bash at religions whose belief involves a single deity in general, not the... god itself. Who, yes, according to most religious texts, is/was an enormous ass. just needed a teense more clarification.
but yes, now that it has been said, god does kind of take the cake.

The most evil... Hmmm...

Well in my opinion, the most evil person should be making a conscious decision to be evil. This person should not be thinking he/she/it are doing the right thing or even the wrong thing with good intentions... That's not to say this person can't do the right thing with bad intentions however. This person should also be manipulative and brilliant, capable of systematically causing mass destruction with supreme efficiency.

...So I guess that would mean the Joker.
