Yeah see. You just said "oh, well that was it? lets see what happens in Episode 2!".orannis62 said:Alright, I like the story in HL, but it's always been more about the experience. I, for one, enjoyed Episode 1, it was a fun experience. That said, that may be because my first exposure to a Valve game was the Orange Box, so I didn't have to wait a year after playing Episode 1 to play the next chapter.
NEVRAR! lol if youre not reminded you might forget just how long youve been waiting >:{Simriel said:Yes, now go away and stop reminding us we do not have it yet.
The Episodes are usually shorter than that so it's even more stupidOnyx Oblivion said:You know what? I bet its not even going to be that good.
Fuck Valve. How many years does it take to make a 10 hour game?!
While there were few plot points, there were quite a few set-ups for the rest of the series:grimsprice said:Yeah see. And i was like "Wait. What? What the fuck was that? NOTHING HAPPENED! I HAVE TO WAIT A YEAR OR MORE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS? AFTER THAT? WHAT?"
And Episode 3 is even worse. Because at the end of Episode 2 is where i really started caring about the characters.
But you're right about the experience. I just felt slighted because it had aproximately .41 plot points.
You cant compare the wait from the 1st game to the 2nd, thats ridiculous. As I said, they have all the engine tech already, they have the story already, they just need to wrap it up and THAT SHOULDN'T TAKE MORE THAN 2 YEARS.orannis62 said:Have you heard Valve's reputation? Do you know how long there was between Half Life 1 and 2? Here's the deal with Valve: long wait times, amazing games. Just how it works.D-Cypher said:For a bunch of developers as talented as Valve I dont think there is any excuse for the time gap between the Episodes.
Lets face it, the story must have been finalised years ago and the engine is already there, does it really take so many years to put the 2 together in such a way to make a sub-10 hour game?
Yes, but now I need to look out that plan to KILL Gabe Newell.Indecizion said:NEVRAR! lol if youre not reminded you might forget just how long youve been waiting >:{Simriel said:Yes, now go away and stop reminding us we do not have it yet.

Which are? The Passing? No luck with that since Steam is going to automatically sneak it onto your PC the first time you start it after it's been released.Dr.Sean said:Why don't you boycott all of Valve's games until they release Episode 3?
