Couldn't care less about GTA. I have never derived any pleasure from the series, and GTAV looks to continue the trend. I'll be over here enjoying Puppeteer instead!

Meh... it's not on PC therefore I pass. Honestly, Rockstars attitude towards PC is mind boggling, what with things like Oculus Rift coming in the near future... not to mention superior hardware capabilities. Anyway, after snore-worthy boredom that was GTA4 I am not in a hurry even if it does come out on PC. I think I am going to buy new Shadow Warrior instead, at least it looks fun (instead of "realistic")

I have absolutely zero interest in the game. I think grand theft auto is highly overrated, there are much better sandbox games that don't have the premise of "you are a horrible person." Plus the gameplay is basically Max Payne 3 with cars, if I wanted to play Max Payne I'd play Max Payne.

It's getting the same hype GTA 4 got and that was pretty average. I'll probably play it at some point but I'm in no rush.

I probably won't, either. Saints Row IV is all the sandbox I need, and I've been getting sick of Rockstar's "Gritty Social Commentary" angle for a long time.

I don't really know why I should care.
Another GTA, so we get like a new brand of car, and different places to go bowling or something?

I won't be playing GTA V because the GTA series never really interested me.
The closest I ever was to buying the game was seeing the Giraffe mod spoof on Youtube, and that was only because I wanted the mod not the game.

I'm guessing the people who aren't buying it cause they didn't like IV haven't seen anything about V. And GTA has never had the nicest of characters. Tommy Vercetti was an asshole just because he could.

I've only got (and only want) a PC, so I obviously won't be getting the game. But even when it comes out on PC, I never had the need to play a game from the moment it comes out. I prefer waiting until there are decent discounts on such games. I also have the need to relate to the main character I'm playing with, but I don't think that will hinder me on actually buying the game later on. I like sandbox games and I liked most previous instalments of the series (GTA IV got a bit annoying with the calls, luckily those could be disabled), so I'm not going to let this one pass completely.

GTA3 left me bitterly disappointed while Vice city and GTA4 did nothing to garner my interest (never bothered with San Andreas) so I doubt GTA5 will turn the series around for me.

Maybe I will give it another chance some time in the future when its dirt cheap and im bored...but probably not there are many more games I would rather play tbh.

Im not a fan in general of Rockstars games they just seem to lack any sort of enjoyment especially their open world games where they seem so intent on making this open world that they forget about adding gameplay in but then I find lots of open world type games suffer from this.

Well, I traded in my 360 and PS3 at Gamestop with all my games and such so I wouldn't be able to get it any time soon if I wanted it. That aside, I just picked up the incredibly aggravating Soul Sacrifice for my Vita and recently beat Persona 4 and Chrono Trigger. I've been on a Vita/RPG kick and when I think of GTA I remember I never really was blown away by the games. I didn't spend that much time on GTAIV and I honestly can't see why people find this one so new and fresh and appealing.

Not till its half price or less because GTA writing only has two speeds: knock off or freaking terrible. When its just straight up stealing from movies(like the story elements and characters Vice City just takes from Carlito's Way and to a lesser extent Scarface) its mostly ok but the movies do it better, when it leaves the beaten path it tends to just be freaking horrendous.

The GTA appeal didn't last long for me, especially since I started in GTAIV. Plus, I have games racked from summer sales that I've yet to finish.

Not interested in the least. The premise of GTA has been old to me for years and I can't help but feel like the game can't win me over anymore. If the characters are douches, I have no reason to play it. If the characters are good, they're still not believable because they're trapped in GTA's clowny universe running over old women uncontrollably. If the game fixes these issues, it isn't called GTA.

No thanks.

No?

Then no, I won't.

(Due to Gregs review this thread might get real flamey real fast)
Just curious, if.when it does come to PC, will you be picking it up?
Maybe.

Though I'm honestly getting sick of the sub-genre.

Saints Row 4 managed to interest me by, you know, having super powers.

I don't really see whats so different from GTA4 to GTA5 beyond more space and the character switch thing.

Vice City is supposed to be a homage to those movies in some way. Just like San Andreas borrows from Tarantino movies and GTA V looks to take some parts from Heat.

I'll be discussing it with my brother as to whether we get it for PS3 or wait to see the PC port. Neither of us were huge GTA IV fans, so there's no rush.

Unfortunately, buying it on PC effectively means we would need to get two copies. And can I be fucked dealing with GFWL again? So many decisions.
