Alright this is now the stupidist post of the day. Last I checked someone can spell "The sun and the moon are the same thing" with perfect grammer and they're still a fucking twat. If spelling is your only way of measuring intelegence then you have very low standards. (I corrected your post's grammer you stoopid dumbass.)
you know there is a saying, "don't throw rocks if you live in a glass house". yes you corrected my deliberate grammar, but in writing your own post, you made a ton of errors. the only reason i said there was irony was because you were accusing another person of having an intelligence problem. and posting flames on a forum that explicitly forbids them does quite frankly not sound as the most rational of choices.

It's not a flame if its true and if you 'deliberatly' made mistakes then isn't it a possibility that the person you insulted made a deleberate mistake?
it is a flame regardless whether you think it's true or not. you saying that a person is an idiot does not make it fact. you saying a post is stupid does not make it fact. these are your very own, subjective opinions. so yes, it is a flame.

besides, i didn't insult anyone here. if anything, i came here bringing a message. sadly that message has been lost in translation. on the other hand, the only thing i have seen you doing in this thread is insult/flame people or their opinions. do you think you're behaving adequately and in accordance with forum rules?

Omochao, Slippy Toad and Tingle.

The gaming world could do without those guys.
God I could murder that annoying little toad, Tingle while a more than a little disturbing is at least manageable.

Tell me what you think that makes MC a good game character?
He is suited to what he does.

The books read through his story as a child, his personality - All the things that you say the games 'lack'.

I understand your point, but you cant call bullshit without all the facts.
He's suited to be a faceless killing machine?

Even if the books DO patch up MC's personality, the only people who are ever going to read those stories are the ones who already think that Halo is the best game since Super Mario 3. The other people who didn't find it that great are not going to bother to check it out, because the assume that it's just something that's very similar to the game.

My point is that if you're going to release some extra stuff to some game (e.g.fan fiction, expansion or soundtrack), there's no need to try to win more audience than the original thing. If they weren't impressed with the real deal, why would they be impressed to other stuff about it?
If the main dish is shit, you don't wait for the dessert (or something like, what yahtzee once said).
SO you say, for example if you play a shitty Star Wars game or see a shitty Star Wars movie then the whole universe is shit?
I would say the marines in all halo games are useless.

Ashley from Mass Effect. Does nothing and whines all the time.
Actually she's probably my best squadmate in combat. All my other teammates go down in a few hits, but Ashley usually takes hails of gunfire without dieing, and when she does she's usually up again in 30 seconds.

I'm gonna go with any mercenary from Fallout 3. I had 3 companions and a robot, and all of them died. Ok, Fawkes acutally went out taking some Enclave soldiers with him, but all the others either stepped on a landmine or were torn apart by Yao Ghui (who were NOT attacking me because of the friend to animals perk, but still my allies)

he has a point, the game was the first impression of good ol master chief and it was a bit lacking, if the game didn't win him over i don't see why you he would ever read the book either.
I disagree, at least for halo 1. In the first one he does have some personality, such as a bit of loyalty towards captain keyes. They never put any emotion into the other two but I think the first game had a good master chief.
On topic: Either the marines from halo or any of the clone troopers you see in SW republic commando (most of whom die about 30 seconds later).

I was gonna say Kaidan for the same reason. I have never had him in my squad after I get Ashley and Tali. I hate Tali but she is better than Kaidan imo.

Navi and Slippy are good choices, but i've got a strange one..

Luke Skywalker in the Gamecube version of "Jedi Outcast". I had a completely different experience on the PC version, but there's a level in the game where Kyle Katarn and Luke team up.

In the gamecube version of the game, Luke kept dying to a bunch of scrubs. Like constantly. Everytime i reloaded the level i had to keep EVERY single badguy off him, otherwise he'd die to a random stormtrooper. My buddy ran into the same issue when he borrowed my copy of the game.

Must of been some wacky programming issue when it got ported?

Like i say, totally different experience with the PC version of the game.

I would have to go with Marcus from FE 6. Sure his stats are great and all and he's a paladin, but he is a total experience whore for the early game and you won't want to use him when you realize so. And his growths aren't very good on average. Average kill: 30 EXP, Marcus kill: 3-5 EXP.
