The guy remains convinced the Halo rings will send him to the next world when really all they will do is kill everyone and despite all kinds of things to disprove his belief, Guilty Spark telling him what it does, the elites leaving and even the Gravemind itself talking to him cannot convince him.

I was going to say Tartarus for the same reason but he was really just tragically faith driven unable to accept the truth. Probably the same as with the prophets actually.
