Rukia from Bleach. The writers for some reason decided that as a woman she didn't deserve to be more powerful than any male despite having hundreds of years of training and being the most talented magic practitioner in her rank. Also that girl with the huge tits, Orihime. She can literally reject unfavorable reality and yet all the writers let her do is be saved.

I always liked Raoul Tejada from Fallout: New Vegas. He is sarcastic, funny and strangely his mustache is the only thing that survived the ghoul process.

Recently, i discovered the character Siegmeyer of Catarina from Dark Souls. In that big unsympathetic, deadly world, this character is the only character who seems to be normal. His big onion-like armor and optimistic attitude was a big surprise to me.

Princess Molestia gets a lot of hate and under-appreciation here, it makes me sadeface.

Then it's a tie between coop from Megas xlr and Coach Mcguirk from home movies. Those two are just awesome and nobody even knows them.
I thought Coop was awesome o.o For an American anime-like show, they did a really sweet job for something way back in 02. Was such a fun ride ^.^ Oh, and the theme song is embedded in my mind forever <3 Why? Cause chicks dig giant robots :3

The MGS2 Raiden

Nothing actually wrong with him as a character, I thought he was a very natural interpretation of someone who was an immature rookie. Tsk Tsk, but the fanboys bitched so much that Kojima made him into a superpowered breakdancing cyborg ninja, just so they could all feel manly enough again. -_- Pathetic.

Too true, not even sure why I posted him actually. The show is pretty underrated but if I had to pick the most underrated character within it would be Regis mkV, He has the absolute best lines.

Easily Marcus Fenix. There's so much more to him than those games bring to light. He gets a really bad rap that he doesn't deserve.

Cole Phelps from L.A. Noire

Extremely well written and overlooked
Stefan Bekowsky was the single greatest character from that game. Everybody's favourite Pole, but nobody remembers him!

People shit on her because it's the hip thing to do, but if you didn't understand what makes Oerba Dia Vanille one of the most well-written characters in any J-RPG ever, then that's your fault. Remarkably layered and more emotionally stimulating than Final Fantasy has ever been, Vanille's struggle to face the negative repercussions of her own unflappable benevolence is the true centerpiece of Final Fantasy XIII. If they'd centered the game around her right from the outset rather than forcing us to watch Snow Villiers be a dumbass for ten hours, the end result would have been a much better game. I liked it anyways, though.
It's hip to shit all over a terribly contrived character archetype with a terrible Australian accent?

Could have fooled me.

You like her? That's fine, but 'one of the most well-written JRPG characters ever' and it's my fault for not recognising that?

There is no palm huge enough and no face exasperated enough to show my feelings for that statement.

OT: Tobi!

The best racing rival a Sun Goddess could ever hope to have.

The guy from the first desk? He was okay. I actually really liked the Homocide guy (I can't seem to remember many names). Roy Earl made a pretty good villian, though. He may have been corrupt but I thought his views on drug addicts and the market were interesting.

I swear this game's writing doesn't get the love it deserves.

Rusty Galloway, the fat, irresponsible fuck. Reminded me a lot of Life On Mars' DCI Gene Hunt, actually. Though, at the end of the Homicide cases, I did feel bad for him. He was a genuinely good guy, just a drinker and a violent man.
Roy Earle I totally agree with you on. Phelps wanted zero tolerance on drugs, Earle wanted to manipulate the market so that they could keep tabs on the major players, and make sure nothing REALLY bad happened.

Stefan was my favourite though. I have no idea why, but he just gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling whenever he and Phelps spoke. I would totally give that guy a high five.

Underrated? Well shit, that's hard to say. How about...

Lieutenant fucking Mira (http://spacemarine.wikia.com/wiki/2nd_Lieutenant_Mira) < link to wiki

This is a woman who's commanding officers are all dead. All her enemies double her size in height unless its the smallest ork grot, the orkz outnumber them in the millions while they only have a few hundred left and yet her and her men still fight on and they don't complain about it. I mean they don't even do that wishy washy love story crap, they just end up having her earn the space marine captains respect.

The most underrated character I know of is also from the most underrated game I know of, Psychonauts. The character is Mikhail Bulgakov. He's the Russian immigrant kid with the best hat I've ever seen in my life.

I don't care what anyone says, Alpha 5 from Power Rangers was the shit. Only thing that would have made him/her/it better is if he/she/it was Mexican, just so that little "Aye yai yai yai" thing it said every episode would just be mildly racist.

The GREAT and POWERFUL Trixie from MLP:FiM

and from anything else, would probably be Otis from Dead Rising. Annoying, yes.
