quentin tarrentino but some films have recently been a bit too stupid for me and i felt a bit offended that i was the target audience even though i was too young to see them, i havent saw his new one so im no sure whether its any good
Surprised no one else has mentioned Kubrick, truly a genius.Rev Erebus said:Stanley Kubrick R.I.P
A lot of the techniques used today he invented, the way he tells story's his imagery amazing.
I liked Death Proof a lot. For some reason a lot of people did not like it. I am really not sure why, it was pretty straight forward Tarantino. Plus, it has Kurt Russell killing people with a car. That just has awesomeness written all over it. I do recommend that film, for whatever that is worth.plastic_window said:I haven't seen it, but I heard Deathproof wasn't very good. What did you think of it? I like everything I've seen from Tarantino so far, but there's still more I have to get my hands on.Jumping_Over_Fences said:Tim Burton didn't direct The Nightmare Before Christmas. That is why it worked and The Corpse Bride did not.
Quentin Tarantino, the man has not made a bad movie.
I am not really sure if that was sarcastic or not. However, I will just assume that what you said is what you meant. So, no problem it was my pleasure. If it was sarcasm, let me say that I enjoy Tim Burton, just his earlier stuff. His last great work, I believe (and trust me a lot of people will disagree with this one), was in 1996. I haven't really enjoyed anything else, that is to say I don't own them and I never intend to. That is why you enjoyed one, but not the other, a noticeable lack in quality as years have passed. Or at least that is my opinion.Major_Sam said:Ah He was the writer and producer for Nightmare and writer, producer and director for Corpse Bride. Makes a big difference. Thanks for pointing that out, good sir.Jumping_Over_Fences said:Tim Burton didn't direct The Nightmare Before Christmas. I was rather disappointed in "The Corpse Bride" as it didn't quite click.
I'd say that had more to do with the original graphic novel being awesome than Snyder's directing skills.Goldeneye103X2 said:I don't know. Maybe zak snyder. Watchmen was fantastic to look at. The action, the characters, everything.
How the hell does the comic affect the look of the movie? That was Snyder all the way.figure_nine said:I'd say that had more to do with the original graphic novel being awesome than Snyder's directing skills.Goldeneye103X2 said:I don't know. As for my own favourite? Pretty much in love with Mike Leigh's films. Especially 'Naked', it's seriously brilliant.
Oh, you're going to love Inglorious Basterds. It's awesome. And it's not just some action-flick, it's sofisticated and well-paced. Some of the best hours of my life was spent watching that movieleet_chris said:quentin tarrentino but some films have recently been a bit too stupid for me and i felt a bit offended that i was the target audience even though i was too young to see them, i havent saw his new one so im no sure whether its any good
