Anyway, true 50 meters wouldn't work in BF2. But at least SOME arming distance IS needed! I hope you can see that. I would be more than satisfied with 10 meters, at least then it wouldn't be possible to use it inside builings at people inside the very same room!

And no, the AT is NOT useless in infantry as of now, it is actually a very powerful class, mainly due to the very easy-to-use weapon that one-shots any enemy infantry. And you can guide the damn thing, so with a little practice it's quite hard to dodge!

And I agree that the Handgrenade-to-face-then-boom thing is great, but it's hardly and excuse NOT to fix the other things. I mean, clearly the engine and creators are capable of great things when they can pull that stuff off, so why not do the arming-distances too? All I ask for is 10 meters, cause 10 meters shall set us free!

Also, AT weapons shouldn't get points for killing infantry, only people in vehicles. There, I just elimintated the annoyance of being AT-rocketed while your infantry!^^

Truth is tho, BF2 still has loads of balance issues, and I guess it will always be so. With every BF game really. Maybe, one day, someone will make the perfect game =3.

OT, I would say the conversation choices in Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. Overall, I liked the game, but I would have ditched the conversation choices...and that assinine grab meter.
Don't forget the whole, "I pushed a rock so I now feel stronger" crap - most of the things that upgraded the character looked and acted in the same way as other stuff but for some reason that specific one made you stronger.

In saying that I've just reminded me that this aspect of TR:AoD was parodied in a flash animation several years ago:
http://superflashbros.net/2009/02/22/decline-of-video-gaming/

This was originally released in 2004 so some of the jokes may be dated, they even make a reference to Devil May Cry 4 on the PS5.

One of my favorites has to be the entirety of Silent Hill: Homecoming. Who thought it was a good idea to not be able to stomp the monsters? Who thought it was a good idea to carry the flash light from the start, and then have a cut-scene and item pick up screen when you get the flash light you've had the entire time when you get home? And so on.

I totally agree. Azazel is supremely unbalanced, and has loads of unblockable and undodgeable moves. I know that pain. x_x

OT: Modern Warfare 2... just in general.

Every gimmick they come up with in modern Sonic games. Werehogs, Silver hedgehogs from the future (obvious Dragonball Trunks reference), Dark angsty hedgehogs, annoying fat cat things, etc.

The Wii remote. Let's face it, it's an eyetoy with a phallic controller. It's led to a library consisting of 90% mini games, 5% good Nintendo games, and 2% good 3rd party games, 3% bad 3rd party games.

ordering explosive barrels to decorate areas that will most probably be the entry point of "the only one that can stop us"...

i can see a whole bunch of ways that could backfire on you...

I still am not quite sure who thought Dead Space needed an on rails meteor shooting sequence in which the number of meteors is ridiculously huge and they move very fast and each time you shoot one it explodes into like three smaller ones... and you don't even start with full health.
only achievement i've ever given up on. hated that bit SO much

The part in Gears 2 where you're driving the tank across the icy lakes in chapter 3. I died like 20 times trying to get across both lakes.

In Red Faction Guerrilla, making a game where you can blow up almost anything then,
1. Actually attempting to make players give a shit about the story
2. Giving players ridiculously low amounts of ammo
3. Crowding the streets with civilians/cops that you aren't aloud to kill without a penalty
4. Making it so that none of the buildings respawn after you destroy them, so that once you've blown everything up, there's nothing left to do.

Ok, so some of these don't sound so bad, but come on. If you've played the game, you know that the quest to just have fun with no restrictions whatsoever is a futile one.

Edit: Oh, yeah, and in Gears 1: Making a level, set at night, where you have to stay in the light at all times or you will be devoured by bird-things, and then giving you an AI companion who frequently ignores this concept. Dom, you stupid ************.

Edit again: Oh yeah, and the motherfucking shotguns in Bad Company 2. Do you guys even know what a shot gun is? Because it is not a magical gun that shoots 6 bullets at the speed of and range of an assault rifle at the same time. Actually, check that. If BC2 is to be believed, shotguns are like sniper rifles that shoot 6 bullets the same time, without sacrificing any of the range, accuracy, or damage. Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK?

Boost guardian in Metriod Prime 2. I really don't think anyone play tested that boss, as it's broken in so many ways. That, or it was supposed to be mind numbingly difficult.
THANK YOU! I thought I was the only one who thought so.

Basically, Metroid Prime 2... Who thought this was a good idea?

A 'dark world' is not a bad idea. A 'dark world' that slowly saps your health? BAD IDEA.

A final boss fight that takes 3 intense battles that sap most of your health and ammo... Only to be followed by two more battles with dark samus?

This game sucks.

The changes made to Mass Effect 2. I know, I know, and yes I agree with you, I enjoyed the game it was a lot of fun and well made. Except the inventory system, I just felt cheated out of being able to change armor suits and guns. They took all the love out of the game of finding that new gun or putting on some new upgrades and feeling like a badass. Now the driving parts of the game weren't super fun in the first game but they were...ok. I don't agree with the solution to just pull them out of the game entirely, instead of improving upon it.

Making Mirror's edge a first person game, which would mean that in order to be able to time the jumps properly, you would have to keep looking down to see the feet, thus not being able to see where you were running.
I died way to many times doing that than was necessary.

Also, two more Metal Gear Solid games, after the game which the creator of the series said was the last, concequently the same game that tied up any loose threads that were left in the series. What is the new Metal Gear games going to do, add even more loose threads?

Super Mario Bros 2. Not the real Super Mario Bros 2 released in Japan, but the game the rest of the world knows as the one where you go around picking up vegetables and stuff.
Yeahman, I detested that game... I only finished it cause I felt it was mocking me.

OT: Resident Evil 5. Why, Capcom... why? Why did you not give the two main characters different names? Why did you not set it to a completely different story line? And why did you not call it "Big Trouble in Little Africa"?

Capcom. You are no better than George Lucas, now.
