You ever come across one of those people you just know you won't like? Something about them that just doesn't click with you? Micheal Cera is like that for me. I can't quite place it, but I just don't like the guy.

Clint Eastwood is also a badass, there's hardly a comparison there.

Yeah, but Clint Eastwood plays a badass every time.
You and I have very different perceptions of badassery. To me, that looks like a teenager running around with a very badly animated lightsaber. I think Dirty Harry could blow his testicles off every time.
He's comparing Micheal Cera to this?

While I don't dislike him at all, I will say that he has allowed himself to be heavily type cast so far in his career, which is understandably one of his demeaning factors.
Pretty much that. He seems unwilling to take risks. He seems like he could be funny if he tried something different. But he keeps going back to the awkward geek teenager.
if your making a shit load of money to do the same thying, wouldn't you do it???

OT:i dont mind him, a couple of his movies were good and a couple were bad, i dont really care about him.

He looks extremely constipated in that picture.

Edit: On topic, I don't really mind Cera, nor do I understand why everyone hates him so much. Yes, he plays the exact same role in every movie he's in, but that doesn't mean he's bad at it. Hell, everything about him just screams "whiny, pathetic wuss", and that's basically the role he plays in all his movies.

I wonder if Michael Cera would look like with a beard? Would he still look 14?

OT: Michael Cera plays the same role blah blah blah. He is hated for the same reason Justin Bieber is hated, Because he looks pretty (No Homo).

I don't mind him. I think he is pretty cute and the fact he plays similar characters doesn't bother me. He seems like a really nice kid so hating him is stupid.

I don't like his films. But he is only starting out and I would bet lots of money he will be remembered differently in 20 years than as he is now.
Assuming he makes it that far. Most actors dont see the 10 year mark never mind 20 year mark.

Prime example: Alex Winter, (guy that played Bill in Bill and Ted, i so would love to see a 3rd movie of that some day.), he pretty much disappeared from acting aside from some minor roles and some TV stuff. He instead turned to directing.
Well Cera has already made the 10 year mark.
Then he's lucky. But if he doesn't get his act together (no pun intended) and improve then he wont see 20.
Yeah because no one is watching the movies he is in now.

Yeah, but it's a sword called 'The power of love'. Love, whilst a formidable force, can hardly be described as bad-ass.
'The power of self-respect' was a much more bad-ass weapon

OT: I don't hate him. Sure, he plays a similar role in most of his films, but so do a lot of actors. Jason Statham, Matt Damon, Nathan Fillion, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, Summer Glau... the list goes on.
Also, the role he constantly plays is pretty much me...

Some people have a face that makes you furious. It evokes an irrational and primal feeling that just makes you want to punch them.

At least that's my reasoning.
I had never heard of him, but that face does look extremely punchable.
I shall now google who he is.

Acting: Good, but always does the same character, but does it better than anyone.
Voice: Sounds like me.
Involvement in Scott Pilgrim: Great, fits well, but the movie bombed(box-office wise). Blame the Expandeibles for not being banned due to its shit quality.

Because nothing says constipated like a flaming samurai sword.
It's a katana. Say it with me. KA - TA - NA.

Also, the look on his face is definitely constipation. Or he's watching someone murder his puppy. I can't really tell.

As long as you acknowledge that you're only in it for the money and aren't interested in being creative, and certainly don't deserve to be taken seriously as an actor, then sure.
Why should you not be taken seriously simply because you take easy money jobs? It seems unlikely that you must be a joke to decide you'd rather take roughly equivalent amounts of money for the easier job.

I don't get it either. So people cast him in the same role, big deal. He was awesome in Arrested Development, awesome in Youth in Revolt and continues to be awesome in Scott Pilgrim.

When used in exactly the right way, Michael Cera is hilarious. Unfortunately, the only thing I've ever seen where he's used in exactly the right way was Arrested Development. He was absolutely perfect in that show.

I'm sorry, but that picture just makes me think of George Michael recreating the Star Wars Kid video.

I havent seen him do anything other than the same role for a while, so I'll reserve my acting critiscism for later.

But the guy himself seem's alright, his voice and face are so punchable though... It's like he's begging for it.

His voice annoys me, he barely shows any emotion, his voice is annoying, he plays one role in everything... and there's something else about him that just pisses me off, but I can't put my finger on it.
