I think that sums up my opinions on the matter.

Oh God, I knew this was about MW2 as sson as I read the title.

People that feel they must defend big rich developers who still make the basic mistakes and take out standard features are complete idiots.

Not all gamers complain about appropriate things but most do and because they have to PAY WITH THEIR FUCKING HARD EARNED MONEY they are entitled to!

What the fuck don't you understand?

Also your criticising criticizers, whats up with that?

Without bitching the Multiplayer aspect of every single FPS game in 2010 would be like Modern Warfare 2's. The Horror!

Bitching is good. It helps the game developers see what the gamer wants.

Did you just... Divide by zero?

Seriously, we pay £40 for a game, we expect it to be good. And people who moan about people who moan fucking irritate me.

First of all - Ironic thread is ironic, unintentionally or not.
Secondly - complaining lies in human nature. It's one of the ways we evolve faulty products.
thirdly - I can't really say why gamers today are supposedly "whiny". Yes, I see a lot of threads concerning ODST's high price and the overratedness of MW2 and other really nitpicky threads, but since I'm constantly one or two game generations behind, I enjoy some perfectly good games I have little reason to complain about, and whenever I play something like...oh gee, say the Mirror's Edge demo, I'm swept off my feet. I guess what it does boil down to is that we're becoming more spoiled if anything, or just not able to appreciate things without nitpicking them to hell and back. I know some out there actually can enjoy the whole experience, but it seems like pretty much everyone is some kind of batshit insane or demanding..."I want this and that ability and armor in the Dragon Age DLC!" "I want that and that ending in Fallout 3!" "The guns in MW2 aren't realistic enough in power and reloading". Sometimes I think people like to criticize the games more than to play them....Oh well, I'll be in my corner with Twisted Metal, Super Smash bros, Crash Bandicoot and Burnout.

Maybe because we're paying customers and when we buy something,we want sometime we like at that works.
Complaining about a bug in a game is as natural as complaining that there are only 4 pancakes in a 6 pancake stack a restaurant served you.

Game companies are not immortal space gods who cannot be critized or contradicted. They are businesses who create products to meet OUR demand, and should they make a product that does not live up to our expectation, we will let them know it, like we do with ALL other businesses ever.

Dear sir, I would like to make a complaint about people who complain. I'm very tired of hearing them and it's about time something were done about it.
I find people who complain about people who complain about people who complain irritating.

We have a right to complain about things that seems unpleasant to us. Wether it be folks that QQ about us, or teaser trailers etc.

Is there any answer you can possibly make in this thread that can not be considered complaining?

.. I just complained, didn't I?

Oh shut up. An old joke is an old joke, and we already saw where this argument will land.

"It's ironic that you are complaining it's ironic to complaing about complaining."

And I will keep doing that until you give up and admit that it's not that ironic.

EDIT:

Maybe you shouldn't ***** about other gamers to set a good example.

You sound just as "WHINEY" as the people you're complaining about.

Also, no game is perfect and people seem quite happy voicing their opinions, who are you to say when they can do this?
And you too.

Cry about:

teaser trailers, servers, multiplayer facets, single player length, menus, gameplay, graphics, cost, release dates, loading time, glitches, entire games...

We are all guilty of this in one way or another. Some of us are less crying, and more just minor grumbling. Some of it is deserved, most of it is not.

Do you know what it takes to make a game? Probably not. The decisions and compromises that have to be made? No.

Some things deserved are cost of some games, like "why did ODST cost full price? We already bought most of that game once." And "please fix the Model 1887 Shotguns in MW2."

The crying that is undeserved is things like "well that teaser looked like garbage, so im not going to get the game." and, of course, we know the infamous PC protesters, who personally made me sad to say I am a gamer.

I will admit, yes, i have complained about a few things, but i have faith in developers to improve and fix things and maybe even make a great game.

So can we please stop the CONSTANT BITCHING???
Except Far Cry 2... that was just unforgivable.
