I don't talk about gaming outside of this forum unless teh other person asks first, and sure, I sink at least 12 hours a week into games, but I get out and have good times with friends who aren't gaming so... that's why I'm not a geek.

What does geek mean anyway?

A Geek is a carnival performer, usually someone who bites the head off live chickens or bats.

Thus, the Prince of Darkness is a Geek by definition--so I feel in good company saying that I'm a geek all the time.

Ai haz a mohawk! Um yeah I finally decided to get a proper mohawk ysterday, which I don't think I'd see many geeks with. I donno really, I just like games but I'm a very sociable person, got a good group of mates and really enjoy music and going to gigs. Video games and owning a console has become so mainstream that it's hard to classify geeks any more

That doesn't save you from a "geek" status. It just gives us the assumption that you're on the level of "geek with a girlfriend". This is one level over "geek" and you're the bane of all the jocks in the world.

I'm a rocker. Through and through. I've been a lot of concerts, and I have the Hearing Loss to Prove it. Been to ozzfest 4 times.

Hang out with friends a lot. Parties that last till 7 am. parties that you invite 3 people to and 8 show up.

Well, I play guitar and sing in a band. I also have some really good friends, but I have no girlfriend. In addition, I'm totally physically inept. I would deny being a geek, but I wouldn't deny being a nerd!

I work part time in a sith academy.... what, I can dream if I want to. For the most part I am a complete geek, thinking about starting to play Warhammer 40k and D&D. Play video games, read star wars books. But, I'm pretty social, I go on walks when it's nice outside. I dress pretty well.

I like hiking, backpacking, and rock-climbing.
I don't sing in a band, but I do sing in the shower (apparently what some "normal" people do these days).
I prefer a dueling piano bar over a club, but I do get out and socialize.
I don't talk about computer specs or quote obscure references in polite conversation.
