I think most of you are nostalgic twat bags that need to move on and accept the fact times are changing, even for cartoons. As an end statement some of the new shows are awesome like Chowder and Flapjack!
Because calling people names gets your point across so well.

I knew the end was coming when I saw a show titled "Tom Goes to the Mayor." Shortly after that Samurai Jack was axed and the shit really started to pile up.

It's nothing but garbage now..
They have live shows where people answer questions on rollercoasters, then there's those imported shows from canada (6teen, TDI, and whatever the fuck else), AND they have the audacity to keep shows like Johnny Test on the air!

Bring back the good shit. They won't even play Ed, Edd, & Eddy anymore!

....And yes, I realize that it's kinda odd for me to be talking about cartoons in such a fashion, so I shall take my leave.

Ha! You all think fried dynamite is bad, try watching two minutes of destroy build destroy (A junkyard wars clone, but dumbed WAY the hell down), or that show where they put people on roller coasters and ask them trivia. Cartoon Network is phasing out the damn cartoons, they may as well just drop the term altogether and just call themselves Network and get it over with. Saturdays are a freaking Destroy Build Destroy marathon of boredom, and I bet the only reason fried dynamite is even on the air is because that kid is one of the exec's son or some internet star.

On the bright side Real Tv (use to be court tv) has some decent stuff. I personally like the smoking gun, horrible driver, or E!'s wildest Tv/commercial moments. That and I like the stuff like Web Soup or Tosh.O when I want to see what funny youtube comments would ACTUALLY be like.

And you're saying sorry why?

I'm not saying the old shows from the 90s are bad but that doesn't mean you have to cry about the next generation.

I'm sorry for people who actually like that shit, I watched 10 minutes of those last summer, and I still feel ashamed about it

and I'm not crying about the new generation, I'm just saying it would be better if they just put on reruns from old shows, plus the new generation would be more intelligent

It's nostalgia. Just like the generation before looks on your generation with detest, you look on the next generation.
Nope, because I was brought up on Jamie and the Magic Torch and Scooby Doo back in the late 70's, and CN jumped the shark heavily around 2005.

Up until then, even Ed, Edd and Eddie was worth watching. And you knew who was saving the world before bedtime.

Depends on who's doing the shows. Cartoon Network hasn't really changed because the gross humor of Flapjack reminds me of Cow and Chicken. I personally can't stand some old shows anymore, especially Doug.

Cow and Chicken was VERY different, and Doug was a classic that had morals and shit

I think cartoon network forgot the core to their network. They're supposed to air CARTOONS on CARTOON NETWORK!

Whatever happened to, "The toons are taking control!", "It's television on rocket fuel...and the toons are in control!"

Who's the bastard that stole the creativity from our childhood? On a side note, I miss Chuck Jones...

CN has blinded themselves into thinking that this path riddled with reality TV is the right path...they are wrong...so very, very wrong.

Part of it stared with that Jimmy show(where he sees the cartoon characters in his head) and the crappy new Cartoon Fridays thing they had going for a little bit(with the retarded children doing retarded things.) Soon after that retarded group of kids took over Fridays, Fridays soon ended. Not to mention Toonami... Dammit I miss the old days!

Today's cartoons are dumbed down to friggin' fart jokes.

Unfortunately, the crappy cartoons make more money these days. That's why I'm going to horde DVDs of stuff like Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken, and Hey Arnold (I know it's Nickelodeon, but it's my favorite show from when I was a kid) so my kids can be raised on the good stuff.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one doing this, although I'm not just getting cartoons from CN.
All the classics that I grew up watching like Batman the animated series,Samurai Jack, Duck tales,Loony Tunes etc.
All these cartoons have been replaced with Cartoons for tweens are kids under the age of 13.

I said Flapjack reminds me, didn't say they were similar. Doug was fine when I was in elementary school but now watching it I have to turn it off.
