Why do people on the internet seem to hate the Xbox 360 controller so much, I find it fits naturally to my hand compared to say the PS one, which is fine, though little too small, and I dont like how the R2/L2 buttons press for the PS3 one.

Actually, I've seen many people who prefer the 360 controller to the PS controller.

I however prefer the PS controllers any day. The 360 controller feels so bulky and the placements of the analog sticks make my left had slide upwards during tension. Plus, the battery pack in the middle is extremely annoying as it cramps my fingers.

But that's personal preference.

People hate the xbox controller? I never heard that, and I'm perfectly happy with it. Though the white tends to show dirt, especially when I'm playing a lot and my hands get sweaty and it leaves lines of dirt from my hand around it. And some of my buttons squeak on one of them, but I don't think those count.

I prefer the 360 controller over a ps3 controller any day. My only gripe with the 360 controller is the D-pad is not accurate when needed.

i agree that I'm not a big fan of the L2/R2 buttons on the PS3 either. But I just don't like the Xbox controller at all. I mean its clunky, the top shoulder buttons are almost none existant if you've never held one before, and the weird way the analog sticks are..It just doesn't feel natural in any shape or form.

This is just my opinion. I have both systems btw, so don't go yiffin' about fanboyism.

EDIT: And i dunno about the texture of the Xbox controller, compared to the PS controller. The Xbox just feels cheap and I could crack it if i gripped it too hard. I had this feeling too with the PS1 controller until they added the analog sticks.

I agree with you Belair, I don't see how it's possible to prefer a PS controller.

But they do and I don't really care as long as they don't try to convince me otherwise.

Yeah, the only problems anyone seems to have with is are 'big battery pack' which can be solved with a wired controler (why do we all of a sudden need a wireless one anyway?)

and 'it's too bulky/heavy' which is only used because everyone got used to the PS2 controler that weighed nothing, ahhh fond memories.

EDIT:The D-pad is messed up but no-one ever uses that. Do they?

The original Xbox pads were terrible compared to the PS2 pad, maybe that's what people are referring to? The 360 ones are fine though, I couldn't honestly say I've got a preference between PS2 and 360, aside from the fact that I still think in X, triangle, circle and square.

I very rarely hear anyone complain about it. The only thing Ive heard (and I agree with), is that the d-pad is shit.
My opinion: like many people I don't like the L2 and R2 buttons on the ps3 controller, and I like the analog sticks on the 360 more.

Mouse and keyboard any day of the week. My 360 controller works great for TRACKMANIA and a few other PC games as well as my 360. My PS controller works great for my PS2/3. I'll never really understand controller hatred.

Yeah, can't play fighting games on it but I really like the solid feel of it compared to the SIXAXIS. The Dualshock 3 comes close but not quite, though it's the only controller outside of an arcade stick that you should play fighting games with.

I'm partial to the PS controller, though the PS3 floating buttons are a pain at times. I like the placement of the joysticks over the X-box layout.

Sweet, because I've heard of this in a few other forums, and am wondering where thay are coming from. I dislike the Xbox D-Pad also, when a game wants you to use it that is. =)

I love the 360 controller, fits great in my hands, nice weight, very comfy.

My only gripes with it is the D-Pad.

I've honestly heard more people say they prefer the 360 controller. Personally, I like the L/R buttons much more in 360 than PS. Otherwise, I prefer PS out of nostalgia?

the 360 controller is great.

most people I see complain about the OLD Xbox controller, especially the REALLY old one.

and it's usually just because they were almost as big as a gamecube.

That's ancient, it was the giant original xbox controllers they complained about.

I hate the D-Pad in all it's forms, even in the PS and old Nintendo models.

I'm glad they relegated it to the place it is in the 360.

The PS controllers take up too much valuable thumb real estate with the D-Pad. That's prime thumb real estate, and microsoft knew it, so they switched the D-Pad and Analog stick, and Ta da, great justice.

link to a bad review or some controller haters. I know not of this trend of 360 controller hate you speak of.

In fact, I'm guessing one of your friends talks about how everyone hates the xbox controller so you thought you'd start your verifying research here. I, for one, hate that.
