"Its edgy and cool to hate popular things!"

OT: I don't hate it, personally, but I got so sick of the filler I just couldn't watch anymore

All I know is Silent Lycoris practically banned me from liking it. When he rescinds that ban, I'll contemplate it.

Hate filler arcs (which shouldn't be coming up since it's way behind the manga) and the dubs - that's about it.

It's allright nothing over the moon fantastic but thing I like most about it is that it doesn't suffer the wrath of censorship (Bleach and Reborn I'm looking at you) when it get turned into an anime.

Proly already been said, but the concept of a "Ninja" using an orange jump suit is totally ridiculous. Maybe if he was trying to infiltrate... an orange grove..., otherwise that makes no sense. Oh, and, in my opinion, and not to insult anybody, people at my school that are fans of that particular show are all weird as fuck. always walking around with those funny head things and trying to tell me about "real Ninjaz"

I think Naruto is absolutely amazing. It's my second favourite manga. The ninja story line may not follow actual ninjas but it works in a manga which isnt trying to be realisitc.
I only ever read the Manga because i got a bit annoyed at the Anime though with its annoying voice acting.

Simply put, pacing. Naruto has some great fight scenes and some interesting plot lines and characterization, and maybe the writer could be given credit for trying to create huge, epic story, but nothing in the series is good enough to keep me interested over 100 non-filler episodes. Pacing is necessary, and at times, closure.

Here is a question, has any series EVER been still good aftet 100 episodes, or maybe 15 volumes of a manga?
Well, there's Stargate SG-1, but you're probably just talking about anime...
O fuck yes. SG-1 was bad-ass till the very end. I think you can also make a case for next gen, and you know firefly would have been good.

Bad dub, they're not ninjas, Naruto is a dick, Sasuke is an emo, long fights and the main one is that it's overhyped. People wouldn't beat on it so much if every other fucker out and their mum wasn't into it. Those factors I mentioned often can't be enough to make a good anime bad, it's just that when compared with other, better anime it really doesn't live up to the hype

Sakura
Naruto
Choji
Konohamaru
The suprising lack of anyone every actually dying and staying dead, despite everyone running around using chidoris and rasengans (both supposedly fatal techniques)
P.S. a personal annoyance of mine was that the fight between the 3rd hokage and orochimaru went on for about 10 episodes, but the long-awaited fight between Sasuke and Naruto, Sakura, Sai and the Jounin whose name escapes me went on for 1 and 1/2 episodes. Heartbroken.
P.P.S. Why isn't Sakura dead yet? If there's one person begging for friendly fire, it's her.

I agree with you...Naruto got so boring! After the Chunnin exams it lost my interest fast. It started out as a decent show but then Sasuke turned evil and the show became all about trying to get him back. Naruto became very whiny, as if his only purpose in life was get back Sasuke. While Sakura stayed completely utterly and useless.
Very true. Also, none of them seemed to actually get the jist that he left of his own free will, despite him repeatedly telling them that and beating up Sakura and Naruto before he left lol.

I have a different question. Why is it that so many people here can't understand the fact that some people don't like the same things they do?

Do you want me to answer that? My main(there are several in truth) problem is the characters.

Naruto: I don't care that he has been alone for his childhood, or whatever bullshit, superficial, explanation we get to his behaviour. The guy/teen/pre-teen/asshole is a huge dickwad. He is an immature jerkoff who is simply unable to shut his damn mouth for five minutes.

Sakura: She is a *****. It is that simple. For no reason she hates Naruto, even though he saves her life numerous times, starting at the very beginning. Consistently gives the guy flak for equally no reason, and is in truth as immature as Naruto in her behaviour. In love with Sasuke even though the character is a completely joke and waste of time, and acts as if he resents her.

Sasuke: The guy is a douchebag. He's an emo-cutter, only instead of cutting himself he turns evil and starts cutting his family. The guy acts like a fucking cockbag, regardless of the circumstances, and his "I'm better than you" attitude is annoying as hell.

There is no problem with the "Inexperienced, hardly talented"-lead character, the "I'm mostly here to be a *****"-sidekick female character or the "I'm the nemesis of the lead and act as if I harbour deep-seated hatred towards him, even though I regard him as a friend and colleague"-villian.

But the characters are HUMONGOUSLY ANNOYING to watch interact, behave and fight. They are like fucking preteens with their sexual tension and poor melodrama. It's a joke. I don't want to waste my time watching 10-year-olds fight amongst themselves while being inexplicably empowered with some sick ninja-shit.

I have read the Manga and watched all 9 series of Naruto and every episode of Shippuden so far. I will admit that there were alot of episodes that didnt have much action in in Naruto but they were still connected to the story. And Shippuden is much better as it gets the story across but keeps your attention at the same time.

Isnt the best anime ive seen but i still love it.

because the little kid naruto which was actually really good was scoffed at because it had little kids in it and little kids liked it. And the slightly older naruto sucks, and this is the one people go to now. and sasuke sucks

Because there's MUCH better anime out there that people could be watching? Because Narutards exemplify every negative stereotype about fans of Japanese culture not from Japan? How about because yes, the show is all filler...and thus refers back to stereotypes previously referenced?
This. I have a friend who watches Naruto all the time, and thinks that therefore he knows anime. Yet when I ask him about Death Note, FLCL, or Evangelion, he completely blanks.

Plus, I've never been able to get over the fact that the main character intends on becoming "the best nija ever" or something like that, and yet he insists on wearing:

A BRIGHT. ORANGE. JUMP-SUIT!!! ARGH!!!

Because it got more views than One Piece so Toonami canceled it.

Whooooaaaa boy. Talk about opening the flood gates. Where oh where do I begin?

Bad story, unlikable characters, FILLER, retarded plot points, constant awkward moments, ship teasing, villain degredation, etc. The list goes on and on and on.

My personal reason is because there was some guy at my college that used to talk about it constantly.

I honest began bashing my head against my keyboard once because of him.
