UFC Undisputed 2009, whenever someone runs at me and grapples, I just quit cause I know it's gonna be a stupid game where they took a majority of the skill out of it, and replaced it with button mashing. (More so than it already was, I mean it's an easy game.)

Halo 3, I'm pretty decent and I usually play with decent people. But everyonce in a while my friend goes 7-20 while I got 13-7 and I just get so angry at him and he says he's so good at the game.

Also, prepubescent voices, they annoy me.

MMO's: if my team is fuckin retarted, i'll usually piss some blood at them and quit.
RPG's: if the boss is particularly annoying.

I dont rage quit because im not a winey little *****. It somebody is using one the the "noob" setups in mw2 il just switch to my acr w/grenade launcher, rpgs, and danger close. I also have control over my emotions and dont start crying over something that happens in a video game.
you do realise that mw2 multi is based entirely on "noob setups"
Really? I play MW2 often and the so-called "noob setups" (Noobtube, OMA, Danger Close and Tac-Knife, Marathon, Lightweight) are a rarity.

Pyro spawn camping in TF2. Nuff said.
No. Any semi conscious player can break through that. Its camping demos. If you cant kill a pyro then you just suck.
Shut up troll. It's just obnoxious when you get lit on fire right off the bat.
He's hardly trolling.

OT: If I feel the developers are cheating - it may sound silly, but things like moving checkpoints stupidly far apart to cheaply increase difficutly really fucks me off.

Likewise, in games like TFU where - once you're nearing the end of the game - you're facing a group of enemies, all of which can resist every one of your attacks bar one or two. So 5 will be vulnerable to force lightning, but then others will be able to resist it so you'll have to use force push, some you'll need to grab, some you'll just need to hit.

The problem is the combat system isn't robust enough to handle all that.

Stuff like that then, it just makes me so fucking mad.

Oh, and when I played the MW2 free weekend on Steam. Whoever came up with the idea of tactical nukes and the gun ships and the bomber-planes is a fucking idiot.

when a match is so unbelievably unfair
e.g. halo 3 only guy on Valhalla map on big team slayer
cod4 when the whole enemy team uses M16's
etc

Engineers in TF2.

Play a class that require skill rather than letting an automated gun do all the work for you. It's like a legal aimbot.

I don't because I don't play games that have BS communities and are completely unfair to the player unless they know everything about...well, everything.

I only rage quit when I`ve tried so many times I start getting angry and then I stop playing before my anger forces me to hurt something or someone.

I usually don't rage quit. Normally, I just say, "Fuck it." and go play another game or do something else.
I thought that's what rage quitting was.

I just give up if the game stops being fun and feels unfair. There's a lot of occasions where i feel like a games purposefully fucking me over with random events, if a game's doing that i'd rather just not deal with it.
I always saw rage quitting as throwing your controller at the wall while screaming bloody obscenities about the game's "mother".

When the game is no longer fun. If I find that I'm not enjoying myself, I won't continue playing. This could be in multi or singleplayer and it could be for any number of reasons.
This. If we're losing badly (due to incompetence on the part of other players, or the fact that most people on my team have quit already) and/or I'm not having a good game, or if there's a section of a game that's too hard to do after a number of successive attempts, I'll just switch the Xbox off and leave it for a while.

I don't rage quit. I was playing Red Dead in free roam the other day, these guys possied up, so it was 6 vs 1, and I've never had so much fun on online multiplayer before. Hiding in the mountains, using the radar, I was kicking their asses...felt like Rambo. The best part was listening to them tell me I was crap at the game as I killed them over and over, and how satisfied with themselves they were when they managed to get 1 kill on me. F*!kin' losers...
I'm guessing they were more concerned with completing the hideout missions and other stuff rather than ganging up to kill you.

I rage quit in MW2 because some playing with some people is just too annoying. For example if 1 guy keeps killing me, I won't quit, but if I kill one guy a lot and then he kills me once and claims he is the greatest player in the world and I should bow down to him due to my complete lack of skill, then I tend to rage quit after I hurl some abuse
or you could mute them and not give them the satisfaction of forcing you out of the game

You guess wrong. They were keen to bully anyone who wasn't in the "posse", a few others were about but all disconnected, much to the enjoyment of these assholes. Draw them in close and high power pistol them if you're outnumbered, I would most likely have been shit out of luck if it was anywhere other than the craggy mountain region of the map, all in good fun.
