He once stated that his favourite book from childhood was "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". Which is pretty cool until you realise that it was published in 1969 when Dubya was 23.
Not to be defending him but maybe he meant favorite Children's book, not one he read as a child.

By the way, he keeps church and state closer than I'm comfortable with. He keeps church and state seperate with a door that the church can open if it makes some sort of effort, I want it seperated by 10 tons of titanium and some people armed with troikas.

However, John Adams was worse, Palin will be worse if McCain wins and dies.

I hate George W Bush because I think he knew about the attacks on the Twin Towers beforehand and did nothing to prevent them.

This is because there is a secret government which has a 25 year strategy for Geopolitics. Things don't make sense now, but in time, perhaps within our lifetimes, it will eventually come out that 9/11 needed to happen for the Patriot Act and the illegal Iraq invasion to be approved. If you doubt any of this just look at W.'s reaction to being told the news that the nation is under attack whilst at a school:

Heh heh, sorry, couldn't help laughing. I'm really hoping you're just trolling it up and you're not actually ignorant enough to believe that.

More on topic though: I don't' hate Bush, I hate a lot of decisions hes made, but I figure he made at least most of those decisions with good intentions. Good intentions don't make a good leader, however.

In terms of the election and re-election of Bush, a lot of people say "Why did you vote for someone so stupid?" If you look at his competition you'll see why. Al Gore for president? That would be awful, I'm Super Serial you guys! John Kerry wouldn't be any better either.

This is why I'm dreading these upcoming elections. Both candidates agree with each other on many topics I disagree with. I wish we could get a wider selection than just 2 candidates, 'cause right now I'm not happy with my options.

As for invading Iraq for oil? No, I don't believe that was the reason. I mean, you would think that "invading a country and stealing their oil" (as some have put it), would result in... I dunno... lower gas prices? Saddam Hussein wouldn't stop bragging about the WMDs he had, and making threats. I think America just took him seriously and decided it would be a good time to take him out of power. Perhaps on reason we went into Afghanistan was so that we could "sneak up" on him and attack him before he had a chance to use the WMDs he was bragging about. However, I'm not going to lie to you and say I know definitively the reason. The fact is, nobody, for sure, knows the reason unless they were the one calling the shots; rendering it pointless to argue about.

Did Bush screw up the country? Perhaps. Was it all his fault? Definitely not.

He may have made bad decisions, but its not like he is the one bad apple in the entire governing system of the country.

Alienation of american liberties, upsetting the balance of our republic by attaining more power over any other president in the executive branch in history.
I left out the stuff I agree with, sorry.

Anyways one could argue that Abraham Lincoln started the civil war by just being elected. He wasn't even on the ballot in most southern states. When the north elected him South Carolina said fuck that and left, and I'm sure you know the rest.

Also presidents almost always try to get more power. Andrew Jackson was the first president to actually use the veto power. Then every president after realized they could do it without being yelled at.

Anyway sorry again about chopping up your post.

I know I started this topic a bit late.
This is just a topic out of curiosity... I don't want to start a flame war or anything like that.
If your excuse is "he lied", please state the lie. If that lie has to do with the middle east and nuclear weapons THAT WAS NOT A LIE, he was just wrong.
Has he really done that bad of a job?
Why do you even ask? Really now. Look at the nation and the state it is in. End of story.

No, there are weapons in the Middle East, maybe not WMDs, but still...we sold them to the terrorists. So, he DID lie about the weapons. I hate him because he's managed to put what was once a halfway decent country into a rut in such a short period of time. And he's a liar: just google an example if you want to see one. Also, he's an idiot (see "George Bush is funny" on youtube) and he doesn't care about black people (note Katrina response). He has absolutely no sense whatsoever, but even all that being said, I'm not really too angry with Bush; I'm angry with the astoundingly retarded American people, who elected and then RE-elected him. WHAT-THE-FRUCK? It is for these reasons that I'm going to move to South Africa sometime in the future. This country just makes all of the dumbass mistakes others in history have already made (i.e. the Romans).

Incompetent and led too easily by his advisors and subordinates.

President of the USA takes a capable and strong mind. He lacks integrity and personal strength. All of his atrocities aside, he is far from the man for the job.
well according to the general public, the man for the job has to be republican and use the word god every other sentence..... oh shit McCaine's getting elected.
Don't worry about McCain getting elected, even if by some act of God he does win he will die straight away from a heart attack caused by the shock of winning.
And then Palin will be president. Start panicking.

Palin.
Again don't worry, she's too thick to work out which button to press to launch any weapons so we'll be safer with her then when we had Bush.
Um, she'll still be pressing buttons!!!!!!! DUH!!!!!!!!!!! Say bye-bye to Vegas!!!!!!!!!!!

Andrew Jackson however voted against the 14[sup]th[/sup] amendment, which (or at least attempts) due process for all american citizens

His entire presidency has accomplished....possible democracy for iraq. That is pretty much it

Edit: I could go on as well if you want. Oh actually one more thing. His entire administrative record as president is under tight security that no press or citizen can access. And has the lowest presidential rating(22%) since Nixon(?)
Despite I do rant how we neglect the destruction in Sudan (millions of Refugees) he did do some good in parts of West Africa, and the relief we sent to the refugees is on a positive note

A quick response to those of you who seem to argue George Bush has done a good job in the "war on terrorism", and use it as justification for the wars and all that... More people die each year due to allergic reactions to peanuts than of terrorism. Hell, one investigation (a biased one, admittedly, but there's not much fiddling you can do with pure numbers, I guess) even claims you're statistically speaking twice as likely to die by being crushed by a vending machine than by an act of terrorism.

Start a war on peanuts instead of a war on terrorism, it harvests more victims.

Notice that America has not been attacked in 7 years so maybe the war has had a positive effect by taking the front elsewhere.
I'm sorry, but that is by FAR one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. It's the same argument I could make about a large rock keeping tiger attacks at bay because I've yet to be attacked by one.

First off, someone DID try and attack us again. He planted bombs in his shoes. The only reason he failed was because he screwed up the detonation!

The fact is, Bush could have been better prepared for what happened if he read ONE memo, and acted accordingly. One with a pretty alarming name at that. That ALONE could have changed a good deal.

well seeing as he's run the country in to the ground and wastes billions of dollars a month ($11 billion to be precise) on a pointless war, yah he's done a horrible job. that and he lied about the middle east.
And according to popular belief, he wanted to wage war just to avenge his father, who was almost killed by one of Hussein's men several years back. Or at least, that's what I heard.

Ppl hate him cause his child-like gestures and lack of speaking skills make him look stupid (I doubt he's smart, but still). Also, no one like a war-time president unless the war is looked upon as a crusade of sorts.
Ever watch Jimmy Kimmel? He always makes jokes about Bush's speech impairments.

Of course, I have a friend who's so Pro-Bush, He called Kimmel a commie just because of the latter's jokes.

Keeping with your tiger attack theme, A better example would be I haven't been attacked by one yet because I've gone hunting and thinned the population :)

Yes there was an attempt by Richard Reed to blow up his shoes. But that can hardly be classified as a terrorist attack, as a shoe bomb would not blow up a plane, and was more of an individual effort than some terrorist scheme
