Why does everyone hate the PS3?

I don't think any actually hates the PS3.
Maybe they like their PC or Xbox better, but I sincerely doubt many people over the age of 12 harbor a substantial hatred against a peace of hardware
(unless of course that hardware is made by MacIntosh)

My talk about prices was solely based around the Swedish prices, I don't know what the prices are in other countries. Obviously better, but the games are still not as good as the ones on the 360 IMO. Sure, the games you listed are around average to good. But the PS3 has like 3 - 4 other good exclusives. Not a lot to brag about.

I could say the same for the XB360. IMO, it only has one exclusive that interests me now. And that is the first Gears of War, which I could play on my PC.

Everything else is either bland or I can find better alternatives.
Halo 3? Team Fortress 2, Killzone 2.
And so on and so forth. Although I'm considering buying a Wii for the next Silent Hill. >_>.. and perhaps others. Sorry, I'm rambling. -__-;

I think when it boils down to it it's games library available for the console, its online community and the major reigning factor is its price.

PS3 has a mediocre games library for such a high power console seems like most games are re-releases of other console games and they and the console cost a lot.

personally i'm not really bothered, I don't and never will hate a console it just seems a little cost ineffective...

I have more hate for the 360 right now than for the PS3, cause I've actually got one and it's caused me some grief. And it's not like I even hate THE 360, I just harbour some hate towards MY 360, cause that's what I, individually, condend with. Microsoft has lost some points with me too, through my 360 grief, but that's a whole other story.

Anyways, I don't think you should let it bug you what other people say about the PS3. If you enjoy it, who cares what anyone else thinks? I mean, in the end, the market does the real talking, and from the looks of it, there's enough room for the hated PS3, and enough people who enjoy it. So enjoy what you got man. Now go play some Little Big Planet and Killzone 2!

I think all consoles have there flaws. I own both a xbox 360 and ps3. The ps3 does have superior graphics to the 360, but it doesn't have the amount of quality and quantity on the psn, that xbox live has. I think the reason its getting more and more shunned by the world is because of the disturbing increase of retarded 9 year old xbox fanboys.

So I own a PS3 and it seems like it is getting shunned by the world of gaming. Everywhere I go there is always a Microsoft fan boy telling me how much the PS3 sucks. Don't get me wrong, I've met some PS3 fan boys and the are not any better, but why is the PS3 the scum of the universe? Maybe it is just demographics, or maybe I just don't know enough people. AND, why the f-sauce didn't they release an expansion for Fallout 3 on the PS3??????? Not cool. >.<

Because it is far too expensive, huge and lumberous and why have one when you can settle for a cheaper, more versatile console?

Anyway, the reason no Fallout 3 DLC was released on the PS3 is because Microsoft payed a HUGE sum to Bethseda to keep it exclusive to Xbox Live. Because Microsoft are selfish.

YES PLEASE STRANGER. And the PS2 had the best variety of games for all the consoles, and all were reasonably priced and the PS3 pissed on all of that.
