Mind you its even funnier not drink or take drugs and laugh at the dumb ridiculous things others people do. I do drink when I go out, just a little bit, usually vodka and beer. no more then 3-4 glasses/pints, not enough to make me drunk, sometimes a bit tipsy if I didnt have a proper meal before. And I love my expresso when going to work.PayJ567 said:It's not getting wasted that's the fun it's the night out. If you're surrounded by a bunch of depressing mongrels then getting wasted is shit and boring.Neonbob said:I feel that I am odd enough without any added chemicals flowing through my brain. Both I and the world do not need me to get any stranger, or possibly have the desire to follow through on some of my thoughts.
One other thing is that I just don't see the fun in getting wasted.
If you're on a great night out and you drink throughout the night then when you're drunk it's hilarious and excellent.

LSD and pot have no addictive qualities. The only "addiction" possible is psychological, and that's questionable at best.dathwampeer said:No. All drugs have powerful addictive properties, not just the hard ones.Honestly, addiction is a dead issues with most drugs. Things like crystal meth, cocaine, heroine and other really hard substances do have very strong addictive properties. And those types of drugs can destroy lives.
While i fully understand that not everyone is at risk and that people with emotional problems are the likely ones to become addictive in this way i feel it is bad to completely ignore the potential. Pretending its not a danger when the common user of things like weed are teenagers who generally go through a lot of emotional shit i feel is irresponsible.
Call it what you want but it is an inherent danger. Ignoring it is no better then exaggerating.
BUt I would, unless you are going out against your will to meet with a bunch of douchebags, in that case go ahead and get yourself as close to alcoholic coma as possible, otherwise you might ending up trying suicide with a broken glass. But if I go out I am in a good mood and I know what I should expect to find. I find hilarious. I also pick people to go out I know they get funnier when drunk and I enjoy.PayJ567 said:*Le snip*
I wouldn't say it's funnier. Infact not being in the same mindset can actually be very boring I think. It's the same deal if you're the only one drinking.
Kagim said:That's fair, I have a different opinion on non-physical addictions, but I can see it from your point of view. My only problem is that, as you said, those types of addictions can be applied to almost anything that the brain finds pleasurable, not just drugs, so why does it even really apply? A person who is "addicted" to LSD is the same as a person who is "addicted" to cheese. Hell, I would venture the person addicted to cheese would be causing more health problems.Swarley said:Psychological, habitual, and emotional dependencies i feel are valid addictive properties. edit: I would also venture that most people who recreationally smoke are early 20's, but that's just my experience.
