i play engie and the direct hit is owning my sentry, sentrys cant dodge so they just get destroyed by the increased damage
I actually own a copy of The Orange Box for PC, my laptop just cannot run-it.xxhazyshadowsxx said:Now.

That' the point of the scout. They're supposed to dodge attacks.BonsaiK said:Anything that stops bunny-hopping scouts is brilliant. Scouts might then start dodging using skill instead of spamming the jump button 24/7. Regarding combat ineffectiveness, the scout is barely a combat class anyway. If you're playing a scout and shooting stuff, you're doing it wrong.scotth266 said:most of the time it will be hitting the Scout in the air, since Scouts love to hop about like a madman when trying to dodge explosives.
Heavies keep your guns sped up at all times in combat (like smart heavies do anyway) and no problem.scotth266 said:the Heavy is going to lose unless he's already spun up his gun
I must say that would be AWESOME i would use it XD I like heavy he needs some BIG WEAPONS lolXandus117 said:Perhaps the Heavy will get a Sandvich Gun in the next update?
They need to have an Engie/Heavy update next.The_root_of_all_evil said:Both the Targ/Eyelander and the Direct Hit/Equaliser are broken at the moment. Valve will be stepping in when they have enough data; but yeah, the Heavy needs some loving.
Though the targe allows for the Demo to surpass Scout speed in a pinch, it lacks control. Couple that with no added resistance against bullets/shotgun pellets and the Scout becomes a hard counter against the sword-wielding maniac. As a Scout, your agility is everything.Rahnzan said:...the shield gives the demoman a speed boost that blows Scouts out of the water - this is wrong. All the scout HAS is speed. You're telling me one of the most offensive units in the game can outpace me?
I second this. When I used Sentry (when the need arose) Soldiers annihilated my damned sentries. It was a joke.apocolips69 said:i play engie and the direct hit is owning my sentry, sentrys cant dodge so they just get destroyed by the increased damage![]()
It's common for people to want to try it out, so just wait a few weeks. Also remember the Ambassador, so if it's truly OP Valve will fix it.Amondren said:I must say that would be AWESOME i would use it XD I like heavy he needs some BIG WEAPONS lolXandus117 said:Perhaps the Heavy will get a Sandvich Gun in the next update?
OT: i don't have the gun yet =\ but i have seen plenty of rocket spam...they were...everywhere i'm not saying we should take it back but it would be good if it was scaled back a little

I had a feeling there would be some anti-console sentiment on a TF2 thread =.=Beastialman said:I play it on a 360 along with other FPS (does Oblivion count? I mean bow's and arrow's...). Either way I just simply don't have the money for a decent gaming computer.MrNixon21 said:Why anyone would play an FPS on a console is beyond me.Onyx Oblivion said:Note, I've only played TF2 on 360.
I've heard discussion that the heavy needs another update. It's definitely out of date in the game these days. There's really no reason to play one since you either get gunned down really fast or one-shot killed by a fully charged sniper.
Okay, first things first. Valve could simply axe increased damage, and leave it at "more speed and airshot minicrits for less splash damage".scotth266 said:I haven't found the Targe/Eyelander/Equalizer to be that broken, honestly. The only part of the update I draw an issue with is the Direct Hit.
I think that the Heavy needs some damn damage resistance from the new weapons, or at least a different unlocked primary weapon. Can anyone honestly look me straight in the face and say that they use Natascha? The thing's more useless than the Backburner.
As far as killing Scouts goes, that was the only thing I found Natascha useful for pre-update. You make a good point though. Now that there's Demomen charging around like mad, it might actually redeem itself. I'll have to give that a quick test to see if it works on Chargin' Demos. If it does, I'll take what I said about Natascha back.Kollega said:Heavy is useless against Soldiers, Engineers and Snipers anyway. But thanks to it's stopping power, Natascha works wonders against Scouts, Pyros, Eyelander-brandishing Demomen, and sometimes even Spies.
