I know that in the early days Russian animation was the shit. I can't wait for that to happen again.somonels said:It's a fad, it has been a long time coming. The US, and then the other plebdoms, is adopting a mirroring fad, where they nerd over Japanese stuff, while the Japanese have been nerding over USAn stuff for how long, 40 years?
It's a foreign culture, easily accessible and easy to claim to be a fan of since they are cartoons with better visuals and a plot. Most of the appeal comes from the world-view and sensibilities of a foreign culture. Once you become accustomed it becomes preditable and boring, revealing the horrible secret that it's the same kind of pasty dribble that haunts the western media, but the paste was made in japan.
2026 is going to be all about the eastern european animation, just you wait.
HBO delivered to me Game of Thrones and The Sopranos, for that alone I would forgive it of almost any other sin.bahumat42 said:Wow i didn't realise quoting no longer directed a question at an individual anymore.Ice Azure said:I actually don't like a large majority of shows on HBO. Stopped paying for the channel way back.bahumat42 said:Wait wait wait. Not even HBO, that channel is like the beacon of scripted drama in the modern age, it just does things SO well.
