But anyway that is irrelevant people, because there is a little something called 'suspension of disbelief'. You used it for the matrix (who the hell is going to wear sunglasses in a gunfight?) and every comic book to movie adaptation on the planet, so why not this?
Because I don't like Naruto. Any other easy questions?

Chrome if you want H manga go read Dawn of the Silver Dragon I warn you though, its best to absolutely avoid actually reading the panels.............It's soul destorying if you make that mistake..God I regret actually bothering to read those panels hoping there would be a point. By the time it was clear that there wasn't one I was already scarred.

Why not where Orange ?
Because Orange blends in with nothing, even if Ninja fought Guerrilla Warfare as Peasants, they wouldn't wear Orange because it doesn't blend with any Natural colour.
Actually I was speaking to the local Ninja club and they say orange blends in quite nicely in a bunch of oranges, or a ball pit where the manager of the place has a fear of blue/green/red balls, hence a completly orange ball pit.

and shouting alot creating fireballs of energy while waving your arms is a good disguise in a shouty energy arm waving filled room.

He's orange because if they all wore black then they would have no individuality and that would make the series bland. Notice that "none" of them wear black. That's because color helps define the character.

If you would look at other ninja animes (like Basalisk) you would also see a lack of stealth. That's because the ninja mythos in Japan is based more around the actual techniques and less around stealth. Might just be me, but I prefer it that way.

Heh what's funny is that Sakura makes a remark to the effect of what kind of ninja wears orange.

He's wearing orange cuz he's Special.

Seriously though. The only character I find interesting in the whole series is Rock Lee. He's probably the closest to an actual ninja in there (you know, seeing as he has no superpowers other than superstrength).

I would like to submit that most ninjas wore a navy blue as nighttime is rarely pitch black and a dark blue would blend better than pure black.

But dark blue would still reflect light. Black, like, wouldn't.

Think a really dark blue.
Also, its not just about the reflection of light, it's how you blend in with your surroundings, unless your floating in the sky at night, you will almost never hide against something dead black.

That´s because Goku´s Gi is orange too, and Kishimoto is a fan of Akira Toriyama.

Everyone is a fan of Akira Toriyama in Japan.

Eiichiro Oda did a Cross-Over Special with him
Tite Kubo was encouraged to make Bleach, and Kishimoto... Big Fan.
Well, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, isn´t it?

I always thought it was hilarious that there were G.I. Joe action figures that were glow-in-the-dark ninjas. Can someone explain the logic of that to me please?
Don't diss Snake Eyes homie. but in all truth I figure it was so parents don't step on them in the middle of the night. That shit hurts.
