As far as english comes, I'm just out of it and can't be arsed with thinking too much, but I find it amazing THAT's the only thing you care to extract from what I'm saying.

Sometimes I just can't be bothered, I really have noone to impress, but no, it's not my native tongue.

You ass.
Again, sorry. It's just that specific day I came across way too many English speaking people with an incredibly low IQ as they made dumb fanboyish defense comments against a game or band I stated I didn't like. I'm sorry, and didn't mean anything against you. Just a bad day for me.

I'm actually looking forward to it. I wouldn't say excited. I'm excited about Assassin's Creed III. But I am looking forward to Kayne and Lynch 2. I rented the first Kayne and Lynch when it came out because I wanted a shooter to play over the weekend that would entertain me while not making me think too much about it. And that's exactly what I got. But I thouroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I think all the people who say Kayne and Lynch sucks aren't taking it for what it is: a mindless fps good for 8-10 hours of stupid fun. I mean if we had fun watching pong for 8 hours at a time back in the 70s, can't we enjoy watching it now? Except that now the paddles are two men. And the ball is made of metal travelling at an extremely high speed. And when it hits the other guy he bleeds and falls over.
A game that's only enjoyable as a mindless shoot-em-up for use on the weekends is still not a good game. That's just like me saying that a terrible band is enjoyable when high, the band still sucks, just the situation makes it fun. And the game wasn't going for just a fast paced shooter, it TRIED to create this The Departed feel to the story and ended up failing miserably

I suppose I could try the demo, but its just one of those franchises I have zero interest in. Zilch. None. Nada.

Are anyone else at least remotely excited about this game that comes out in less than two weeks, and do you plan to buy it?
Of course I am. And I for one didn't consider the first to be a letdown. Sure it had it's irksome flaws, but I consider it one of the better games I own for the PS3, storywise and character-wise.

Im just dying to see what will happen to the old, tired and flawed guys in the sequel (after the disappointment that the idiots who are making the Kane and Lynch movie decided to cast a young black guy as Lynch).

My main trouble is that I'll probably not have the funds to buy the game by the time it comes out, but I'll be sure to pick it up sometime when I can.

Because the demo gave me motion sickness.
Give me the option to make the camera man not drunk, and I might pick it up.

It's competing with the release of Mafia 2. It has a jump on Mafia by a few days.

Doesn't make any sense. Mafia 2 has a good reputation, and people absolutely love period crime action games. Kane & Lynch doesn't have a great reputation, and the first was mediocre, but had potential. It won't do well, and frankly I'm not that interested.

I might check it out at some point. The first Kane & Lynch costs about $5 (PC, $4.87) on Amazon, if that's any indication. Steam is selling it for $20 as digital.. what a rip-off. Steam is always ripping people off. Keeping full price on games for up to 12 months or more.

Anyway... I'm not that excited about it.

What gets me, is it's IO Interactive and Eidos. What are they doing making a sequel to Kane & Lynch, which received poor marks, instead of working directly on a new Hitman, which virtually everyone loves? Seriously make another f-ing Hitman before I start punching brick walls in a fit of rage.

Because the first game was just a disappointment, and the demo was just AWFUL.

The cover controls weren't all that responsive, the targeting system was only mediocre, and the camera, OH MY GOD, the fucking camera.

I know that they're trying to be "stylish", but if it interferes with making the game FUN, then the game is just sticking itself up its ass. Everything was all pixelated, so I couldn't see the enemies all that well, and sprinting was just god damn atrocious because it makes the camera shake like Cloverfield crossed with every single Paul Greengrass film ever made.

One weird thing was that when you headshot-ed someone, it would completely censor the bloke's head with pixels, which was kinda funny at first, but when you're always headshot-ing dudes, it became rather irritating, and strangely felt like they only did it because the ESRB or something like that wanted to give it an AO rating or ban the game or something stupid like that.

So yeah, no one is excited because the majority thinks that it sucks.

What version of the game where you playing? I never saw any pixelation or had any problems with the gun play, yeah it weren't anything special, but it wasn't like it was bad or anything. The only problem i really had with the gameplay was the cover system being a bit buggy, but hopefully they have fixed that up for the sequal. It sounds like you where playing on a machine that wasn't up to scratch. And as for the camera I found the gears camera 10times worse and didnt even notice any of the problems that the majority were whingeing about about

I personally loved the first game and it had an awesome story, something quite different to everything else seen now days, So I pre-ordered Kayne and lynch 2 today.

there is an option to make it less shaky. it's called steady cam.

I dig the stylization they're going for, and while being ugly is sort of the point, man, it does look a little rough in spots that should be more polished. I never played the first one, and I wasn't really playing games when the original fiasco played out, so I'm coming into this with fresh eyes. the single player demo ends pretty abruptly, and I haven't tried fragile alliance, but overall it played well enough to warrant at the very least a playthrough.

aiming seemed a little off though, almost like it wanted to be a sticky-auto aim, but doesn't quite come though. it's a lot to ask, but I hope that was refined in the final release.

There's a choice for that?
I might have to check that out when I next can. Thanks!

I played the demo. It did not excite me.

- The gameplay was about as samey and generic as possible. Third person, cover-based shooter with an AI partner. Whoop-de-fricken-do.
- The story might possibly be interesting. But since the demo was all of about five minutes long I didn't get any material to judge it by.
- The whole security camera footage effect adds absolutely nothing. It's just a grainy filter and a few blurs. A gimmick.

Also, I hear that the original was crap. I never played it myself, but if it was as bad as people say then that might help explain why those same people aren't falling over themselves to get the sequel.

On the plus side, the multiplayer modes sound interesting.

Who are you talking to?
Some guy he couldn't quote because we're not allowed to quote posts that got probed, suspended, or banned.

Anyway, the first one controlled horribly, but the second was pretty fun based on the demo.

That said, multiplayer takes forever to get into, took me five tries, and it froze two or three times.
