Doesn't change the fact it's a DRM, and DRMs are by definition, Bullshit.Daedalus1942 said:Hang on... if you get a new account, you can get games transferred over, or if you can send them the receipt they'll let you trade games from one acccount to another.BlackWidower said:Yes, and that small detail is my biggest beef with Steam, and my other beef is with the digital distribution model as a whole. Also, I don't have an XBox, and I will never have an XBox.Daedalus1942 said:Apart from that small detail, they're very similar though.BlackWidower said:Except if you buy an XBox game you don't have to register it on XBox Live and it isn't permanently tied to that XBox Live account.Daedalus1942 said:Steam is realistically no different from X-box Live, apart from Steam is free (to use, not buy from obviously).BlackWidower said:Primarily, it's certainly not simply a distribution model, because if it was, it wouldn't be required to run games that are distributed on discs, like Half Life 2.4fromK said:is steam a DRM now? I didnt think it really qualified - although it does prevent piracy, albeit without running any malware in the background.BlackWidower said:Obviously lack of promotion is what does it. But I think the real reason is it's a Steam exclusive and one cannot buy it in stores, and if they are like me they hate DRMs.
Who the hell cares? I played the demo and I loved it; it's fun, challenging, and awesome. If you don't like it, that's your business.RAKtheUndead said:*snort* Bayonetta.SageRuffin said:Because I'm doing so over games that I've actually heard about, and consequently care for, like Bayonetta and Mass Effect 2.
You crack me up. Honestly, how the hell can you look forward to yet another derivative third-person beat-'em-up, where the only distinguishing feature from the rest of the genre is the main character?
The only genre more cliched than the third-person beat-'em-up is the World War II FPS. I thought people wanted some originality in their games. Apparently, since everybody's running out to buy bloody beat-'em-ups, that was a blatant lie.
its actually pretty good once you get the hang of it, but it does have a pretty steep learning curve though.Dr. Gorgenflex said:I heard it was mediocre, but I was a little excited for a futuremark game for about 10 seconds.
I looked over them, and they're not that steep. I have a fairly cheap computer I built myself, and I easily meet the required specs.ramik81 said:I apologize for the capslock...but...
HAVE YOU SEEN THE SPEC REQUIREMENTS??
