Well, look at MJ. He started out as a kid and he still performed up to the day he died.
MJ was the "prince of pop" and gained lots of attention for various reasons. If I'm not mistakened, his popularity started when he was part of the Jackson-5 (I'm not a fan or knowledgable of MJ so I could be wrong). Bieber is different because he's an internet sensation that became a pop-star in a time where music companies use and go through many teen stars.
I stated that as in it's a possibility that he could last. I'm not saying he has the same potential as MJ.

Sadly this is most likely true. When was the last time our ears were graced by NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys? How long has it been since we were enchanted by Hanson? Too long, my friends.

Sarcasm aside though, shit like this always happens. People have short attention spans, and soon a nice haircut and poppy tunes won't be enough to save Bieber. I'm afraid to say this, but, Bieber's "team" are taking precautions to preserve his voice. It will change slowly and only until he's in his 20s. And don't ask me how I know that.
Insofar as BSB are concerned, they ARE out on tour. Along with New Kids On The Block. Given how long they've been around, Backstreet Boys outlasted most of what came out of the '90s and kudos to them, their first Australian #1 actually came off 'Never Gone'. Yeah, I'm still a fan. Ain't gonna be ashamed of it. I like their voices. Albeit the music got better as they got older.

I personally can't stand the squeaky toy, but I would much rather sit through him than Rebecca Black. So... I guess I'd be more willing to sit down and listen to him once he'd got some life experience.

Anybody remember Aaron Carter? He was exactly like Justin Bieber; A Pop singing, teenage male with tons of screaming fangirls. I have not heard anything about him for along awhile.
I just looked it up and his last alblum came out in 2002.
I feel this is exactly what will happen to Justin Bieber, he will just fade into obscurity.
Not that I'm a fan of Bieber at all, but Aaron Carter was no where near as popular as Bieber is. Not even close .

I think Bieber will last a long time actually.

Ah yes Aaron Carter, brother of Nick Carter from the Backstreet boys if I remember correctly. I remember him being pretty big kind of like Mr. Bieber. Hopefully you're right about this one, because I am sick to death about hearing about this twat. At least Aaron Carter went through puberty and actually looked and sounded like a guy, girly boys like Bieber seems to be what every girl wants now.

A few days ago I went into a 99p electronics shop at the back was a load of "give a best price" albums and every single one was a terrible pop sensation such NSYNC, blue and the sugerbabes. The Jonas brothers will head that way and so will most over popular musicians mainly because their careers aren't built to last

Pop music depends massively on looks, when was the last time you saw a fat or middle aged person become a pop star? They don't because they aren't going to be that good of dancers and they aren't particularly good looking so they aren't popular. Along with that and the fact that the general public will latch onto something, listen to it for a few weeks and then completely forget about it. Look at the Jonas brothers, they were massive and now justin bieber or whatever crap the general public listen has taken the stand. However the same will go to him and all pop stars but it's what the want, a lot of money in a short amount of time and not many people to remember them.

At that is why I do not listen to anything on the radio or listen to anything in the charts, you must be incredibly shallow to enjoy the whole culture of it.

I remember when N'Sync and Backstreet Boys were the shit, and I was in Junior High (I think , or close to.o_o). I didn't like EITHER one of them. I had pretended to like them at first, because I was already weird enough. I thought I'd get a few brownie points by making a decision between two bowls of turds. I picked N'Sync. To show everyone how much I liked them, I bought a calendar....and I didn't even hang it up. lol

Truth is, all 'pop sensations' eventually fade. Justin was really young when he started so he has SOME years to go, I think, before the flame for him is turned down. I think he'll always be around, since most of them are still recording ; but it wont be as obvious. He wont always be on the front page. His name will appear somewhere and people will go, "Heh, look at that, he's still at it." I love hearing, "I thought (s)he/they was/were dead!" That'll always be my favorite line when people find out that old pop sensations are still out there trying to do their thing.

Another reason Beaver won't last long? Is probably the fact that if you look up his song "Baby" on youtube it has far more thumbs DOWN than up. Someone as crazy skilled as MJ wouldn't have had a problem like that (Speculatively) had the internet been around then.
Actually, that raises a whole new question: How would famous musicians of the past have faired with the internets? I'm not talking piracy I'm talking the whole level of exposure. Such as if everyone had heard his very first songs over and goddamn over?

his voice will change into something that i predict will sound like Alvin and the chipmunks on ridlin.
If you slow down Alvin and the Chipmunks they sound like three bored guys singing for a paycheck, and Dave sounds like a demon from the bowels of Hell.

For extra fun, go find that one movie (not the live action one, the older 2D animated one. I think there's a scene where the Chipmunks get sacrificed to a volcano in it) with the Chipettes in it. If you slow down the Chipettes, they're all the same woman, playing all three parts.

He certainly won't last for long; when the puppeteers decide that the show needs to end they toss away the puppet.

If he hires a decent song writer he could actually last.
He could last with us but not in the music industry.

I don't like getting my ears raped by him. when he fades away and dies by chocking on his own vomit after a coke overdose, Rebecca black will come finish the job with her auto tuned ear raping bullshit. I hope sabaton and two steps from he'll will release a new album

Once he turns 18, Disney will kick him to the curb in favour of some other young teen wannabe-idol. As long as he keeps auto-tuning his "work", his voice will never change.

He's doesn't leave an everlasting impression on the world like Queen, The Beatles, or Elton John...so history will pretty much swallow him up like the rest of his ilk.
