TF2 has lore?
Yeah, a bunch of quirky backstory mostly centered around the Australian Saxton Hale.

If you play stalker for more than an hour, you'll question why you bought anything else. If you play Shadow of Chernobyl, I reccommend you look up the Stalker Complete 2009 mod. It just makes it so much better.

And, as people said, Counter-Strike.

But! I didn't buy it. I found an old copy of Half-Life GOTY Edition at a convienience store for $5, put the code into Steam, and got pretty much everything made on the Half-Life 1 engine free, because Valve is nice like that.

Quite a few games on XBLA
Viking (got my money back, thank Bog. Though it would be more like Spartan: Total Warrior, but no. I was willing to forgive it, until someone apologised to me about my character's father's glorious death in battle...)
Hold the phone!!! you don't like the original deus ex???? the second one was a steaming turd factory, but the first game??! i have shock!!!

anyway, i immeditely regret buying saints row 2 because its possibly the worst port to a PC game EVARRRRRRRR, its buggier than fallout 2 without patches.

oh and thhe most amazing game i ever got: boliing point!
THis game is sooo amazing, that it has its own theme song, which even uses the words : "gonna take you to the boilin point" of course ther's some vibrato in there as well.... sigh i could've given that ?4.98 to someone homeless

I'm not one to say that I regret buying the games I have, but I gotta say that I'm pretty ashamed on a few of them.

First off, Sims 3... why in the hell did I bought it?, maybe it was for nostalgia, I pretty much enjoyed the first and second Sims, but simply 3 didn't quite "hooked" me like before, I dunno, maybe because I'm no longer a morbid teenager trying to kill my sims in the most ridicule ways possible, including the infamous ladderless pool?.

The first FarCry, I just couldn't stand those fucking mutant monkeys, I never finished the game.

Prince of Persia 2008, too annoyed by the new Prince and I hated how stupid the fights were, I didn't finished it too.

Also, the Crysis games. I so regretted on buying those, many times I thought on giving them to my nephew as a gift, I simply hate them, not because of the graphics, my comp can handle them, not for the gameplay, but for the ending on both games, I felt cheated and I felt like I was having half of the full damned game and no, I'm not interested, at all, in Crysis 2.

Battlefield 2, I can't belive how many people love to walk like 2 miles in 5 minutes only to get shot from affar, or getting runned over by a car, or even better, getting runned over by a helicopter (yeah, that actually happened to me). Also, waiting like 10 minutes to use a damned plane just to crash the next 30 seconds. Not interested, at all, in any Battlefield game and I don't care how many praises it gets and how many 9's and 8's they get, it's simply not my type.

Most recently, yesterday actually, The Oddbox in Steam.
How could anyone resist on buying the whole Oddworld series for $12?, the only draw for me was Stranger's Wrath, but then, I was greeted to a mess of a game that, clearly, isn't even finished, at all, I was very annoyied. Then, Just Add Water, the guys responsible for this attrocity said that the game was rushed for the christmas holiday and that they will eventually patch the game later, even adding the HD models and textures from the PS3 version, BUT they also said that they MAY charge a small fee for this patch... that's just cruel... as somebody else said on the Steam forums, now I know how is it to get coal for christmas. I want my money back.

And last but not least, buying a 360. Long story short, I sold it back, I didn't stand the damned thing and paying up ridiculous amounts of money for something that's not even on par with what a PC can already do, much better and for free. I'm happy with my Wii as my only current gen console.

I bought MW2 at like 1am on the day of release, got home, played it, liked it, about a week goes by and EVERY FUCKING GAME is full of 10th prestige 70 noobs or whatever the max level is, and they all used the damn glitches to get out of the maps and most were blatantly hackers, regardless of your level or class set up, an entire clip of Intervention rounds to the face will kill you, so I figured, FUCK YOU GAME!!! trade in time and haven't been back to the series since although I do want CoD4 on PC and I still have WaW for the zombies (I know Black Ops is supposed to better on NZ mode but I'm not paying £40 for poor MP lame SP and some new maps for co-op).

Yeah, a bunch of quirky backstory mostly centered around the Australian Saxton Hale.
Not exactly lore though. I thought lore was a longwinded backstory that drives the plot. TF2's backstory is just there for laughs.

Ah, the definition I've gotten of lore is a bit different, but no matter. Just like you said it's just there for laughs.

"Avatar-The Video Game"

Good movie, terrible game...
Avatar the Video Game

Good Series, poor movie, I have no idea about the game.

Please if you enjoyed the movie go out and find the series, it is much better. Far too much material to compress into a trilogy as I think the movie ended about the same place as the first season.
No, I love the series!!! I was talking about Blue-skinned, 10 Foot-Tall Avatar: the Video Game... How can I not love Airbender???
Ah, my mistake for some reason I thought you were talking about The Airbender. I apologize.

The only one that comes to mind is the 2008 reboot of Turok. I had a playstation at the time of the original games, so I didn't grow up playing them, and wasn't disappointed by the changes to the series. No, what disappointed me was the terribly optimized PC port. It runs on my computer, but I max out at 20 FPS on minimum settings. Minimum settings that are much higher than the average for Unreal Engine III games because whoever ported it couldn't be bothered to allow more than one or two sliders for video settings, or to allow resolutions lower than 1024X768.

For comparison, I can eke out around 40 FPS in Bioshock if I tweak my settings correctly and run it at 1024X600, and games that run on the Source engine, the Gamebryo engine, and pretty much any other engine that's not either Unreal III or whatever the heck Shattered Horizon runs on are perfectly playable on my machine. Heck, if I drop my resolution and other settings low enough, I can get 40 FPS out of Crysis for cryin' out loud. Whoever ported Turok should be ashamed.

P.S.: I only spent $5 on it, because the Gamestop by my university eventually marks down the PC games that don't sell. It wouldn't bother me that I spent $5 on a stinker, except that I could have paid $10 and bought the Battlefield Collection, which contains Battlefield 1942 and all of the expansions in one box. Even though it's twice as much as I paid for Turok, it would have been a much better deal.
