Zenimax is in the wrong to pursue this lawsuit.Ragsnstitches said:Zenimax are not in the wrong to pursue this lawsuit, especially when Notches compromise is almost insulting.
The word "scrolls" is not their intellectual property.

No, but to NOT challange the patent that Notch and co filed is negligent on Zenimax. Did you read the broad items and things they wanted to claim for future use? ALL TV, Books, Games, and others with the word 'SCROLLS' on them. Then what would Zenimax do, cancel their ES games? Thats why they are challangeing it. Not cause they care about Notches game.Redweaver said:Zenimax is in the wrong to pursue this lawsuit.Ragsnstitches said:Zenimax are not in the wrong to pursue this lawsuit, especially when Notches compromise is almost insulting.

I have a question, why the fuck is this? I hear this constantly and it's the dumbest shit I've ever heard. The patent owner should be able to let anyone they want slide for infringements of THEIR intellectual property. Why is it not a patent owner's right to let crimes that supposedly are against them slide?Zeh Don said:In basic terms, if you don't actively attempt to protect your copyright, you lose the ability to retain copyright, and all of the legal rights associated with that.
No he didn't. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and just Scrolls are as similar as the name would be to a game just called "The".because Notch decided to make an RPG with a similar sounding name.'
Haha I like reading your arguments, not trying to offend but you don't seem to be understanding any of the points against you. He is not saying it's a waste of time in the sense that it will not do anything, he is saying it is a waste of a boycott because it is being applied for illegitamite reasons in his opinion (or so I understand). If he wants to attempt to convince others not to do such a thing he can though it seems futile as all it's really doing is raising awareness of the issue.Crono1973 said:The point of a boycott is to hurt sales and if you think that's what going to happen, then it isn't a waste of time. How is it going to hurt everyone? How is a boycott of Skyrim going to hurt anyone except Bethesda/Zenimax?Saviordd1 said:It's a waste of time because as I've said its just going to hurt everyone.Crono1973 said:So you think it will hurt Skyrim's sales? Well, then it isn't a waste of time since that's the point of a boycott.
I don't think it will hurt Skyrim's sales but even if it does, I support consumers standing their ground.
But what are they standing for? Some guy being immature about an actual legal concern, yay for stands.
What are they standing for? If you don't know then you shouldn't have started a thread saying they are wrong.
